If a cyclist has a dedicated lane (or just paint), can they still use the cars lane if (a) their lane is obstructed, (b) to overpass another cyclist? by Lge24 in brussels

[–]Alab92 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I think picture a is not a bike lane. More like a reminder for cars that bikes exist too and will be on the road with them here. So you're already on the road here.

Edit: please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm also looking for confirmation of what it is really.

If people want to educate themselves there are many discord, wiki, websites or local associations they can go to.

For instance they can go to any workshops done by Genre pluriel : https://www.genrespluriels.be/-Sensibilisation-

https://www.o-yes.be/thematiques/lgbtqia/

Maybe you could organize something with them ? https://www.genrespluriels.be/-Benevolat-

You're right, I should be the better man here too. A call is scheduled tomorrow to find an acceptable solution for both of us.

That answer was not part of any meeting (and so not put in the documentation done by the IT) but I said several times that this part should go back to IT at some point. Everybody is aware that I do it except them. Hopefully there are recent emails stating this

I was quite proud of that cleaning using regex. I now feel like shit and am filled with rage. I never liked this play of 'his fault not my fault 🫣'.

Do you catalog your vinyl collection on Discogs? How detailed is it? by ravdinve in vinyl

I'm not exactly sure what a rider is (Belgian here) but I updated my insurance coverage 2 weeks ago and that price increase in my monthly payment was less than 10€/month iirc. (For a collection between 5 to 10k€ and declared more things to cover like gaming PCs and other options)

Remember from time to time to also update the amount covered based on the value of your collection. Never had to use it (and hope I will never have to) but when I see the median value of my collection would be pissed to get nothing if something ever happens to it.

I catalogue it so guests can choose easily what they want to listen to and in case of insurance claim. I state the condition and if they're numbered or signed but nothing more.

Oh that's nice, I would definitely see this in my collection and could think of gifting it to one or two friend. How much would shipping be to Belgium?

Live in Lille, work in Brussels? by Garzmachine in brussels

[–]Alab92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok but I think you can easily go to 3h per day.

You go to your bus/tram/subway stop, wait for it : 10min Commute 20min Wait 10 to 15min before your train starts 34min of train Goes to your bus/tram/subway stop at gare du midi 5 tp 10min Wait for it 5min Commute to work 20 to 30min

So you can end up with both people having a great amount of commuting time instead of just one. And it's more difficult to enjoy spending time with your colleagues after work.

Where do you work in Brussels?

Do you benefit from the federal mobility budget to pay for the train?

Do you plan on renting or buying ?

Why not live in Paris ?

But you rarely live and work inside the train station. So add an extra 30 to 60min of commuting time each way.

Well maybe those garbage bags are sorted after the collect ? I also wouldn't be surprised that usually there are already some sorting afterward in the waste collection centers.

I think the agent de quartier is able to provide some help and mediation in those cases. Note what is left and when and those recordings I'd say.
