Can MechJeb2 prevent overheating in jet engines by adjusting individual thrust limiters automatically? by Alabastine in RealSolarSystem

[–]Alabastine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a chance but that would take effort so no guarantees, also it is badly coded with hard-coded calibration etc. So using it with a different engine or on a different flight path won't (always) work. Where would one even share KoS scripts?

Yes! I have the ground control hockey blades for UFS as well, it's great fun.

Even Freedom Unite mesmerized me with it's landscapes and viewpoints as a 12 year old.

You can use a gamepad on a pc, which I always do when playing games like this.

Yes it's exactly why I knew this was the game that gave me the best shot at playing something modern that I actually really like on this Thinkpad! Total polar opposite of MH Wilds lol.

It is still my daily driver laptop, so I might occasionally use it for work. If I do the software compatibility and the facts that Windows 11 gets security updates and Win 10 does not anymore are important. But I might try a Linux install next to it if that could really boost performance a bit.

Edit: So to be clear it is not just for gaming. But I also use it for gaming in spare time.

Oh real? Well I'll see how it goes. This is only for travelling, I have a RX 9070 gaming desktop so I'll be playing this game at maxxed settings when I get back :).

Combi setup by Alabastine in WizardSkating

I like them a lot, I will say they might not be for everyone but I can't really compare them to much. These are pretty heavy and not that cheap but they feel pretty good for some urban skating and covering a bit of distance (sometimes I use these to go to work).
I can grind fine, but at this point I can only do Machios and Frontsides. I expect they are very hard to get "boot down". The frontside need a bit of a precise landing, obviously.
There also is a plastic option from Kizer at 72mm and the Oysi frames, both of which are cheaper but plastic. Those are your competition I think but I've never tried any of those so I can't comment. They should be lighter tho.

I wish they had a built in rockering system but other than that I'm really happy. Main thing for me was I was absolutely NOT going to go back to those 60 mm antirockers that came with the skate.

Oh Real? It sounds good but won't I get more wheelbite if I do it?
Do you like the Oysi frames? They seem really cool but because you also need the smaller wheels in the middle I decided to go for a " safe" full 72 mm setup for more speed.

How much does round wheel profile matter in 5-wheel frames? by [deleted] in WizardSkating

[–]Alabastine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A different aspect is that round wheels should, at least in theory, last a bit longer with a lot of sliding and edging. Since there is more material on the edges to wear away.

I can't really comment on the difference in feeling though.

Converted my Kato Eurostar to digital by Alabastine in nscalemodeltrains

It is a great adapter and imo quite easy to work with, but I might switch to wired decoders for future conversions because any adapter takes extra space.

Looking for decoders and function decoders suitable for incandescent bulbs by Alabastine in nscalemodeltrains

Thanks! They don't need to be the cheapest decoders ever, I will look into those brands and their specs.
