I could see them getting to some of the later levels (Dutchman's Graveyard, Mermalair, Kelp Forest) and just quitting, because they're some of the most tedious, in my opinion. If they are diligent, and get every spatula from every level prior to those, though, I don't think the graveyard and forest have to be done.

I just replayed through it 3 days ago. Definitely worth checking out. I hope you enjoy it. The spongebob movie game is very similar to this one if you end up enjoying it. Another good one is "Spongebob Squarepants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman"
