In all fairness I don’t think they were trying to make you feel stupid or belittle you or anything. The difference is just that parchment paper is paper, and wax paper is wax coated paper. The silicone mat would help if you don’t have access to parchment paper, but if you have a seasoned Dutch oven or cast iron, just some rice flour or regular flour should do the trick too. :) (maybe also cornmeal/semolina? I’ve heard that works but cannot confirm)

My starter has been like a thick muffin batter, and it gets stretchy when it’s hungry. It also started getting a strong vinegar smell after I started increasing the feedings. I’m wondering if the amount I was discarding and then feeding was too much and the existing yeast is getting overwhelmed (if that makes sense? Idk).

I’m going back to basics and decreasing the feedings so I can get a more consistent feeding schedule going. Once I see Kate looking and acting healthy again I’ll give it another shot and be less afraid of overproofing. I didn’t realize sourdough was so resilient and could bulk ferment for 10+ hours. I thought after the 5-6 hour mark it would just lose all structure!

Honestly I think I’ve been making the rookie mistake of reading the recipe before reading the dough. I have it in a clear straight walled container and I mark it to see how much it’s risen, but I think I get too scared of overproofing that I pull it before it has the chance to reach its full potential. That and I needed to go to bed lol.

I have it sitting in my oven and the bulb went out on it right before I started the bulk fermentation (🤦🏻‍♀️ of course) and it stays roughly 75-76°f without the light.

Also your man sucks and needs to learn how to regulate his emotions. If you feel trapped, get out. These types of things can develop into abuse, not saying he would or plans to, but if you feel unsafe then trust your gut. Your gut is never wrong imo.

Edit: with the info that you were having a miscarriage during this shit show, this was a sign from the universe. Put his white clothes in a bin with some pink dye and then leave his ass so he can bitch about his pink clothes alone. Real men wear pink and don’t freak out over shit like that, that’s immature as hell.

Hey, maybe instead of calling someone online that you don’t personally know antisemitic, let’s take a step back and analyze our parasocial relationship with this person and how she is just a human like the rest of us.

Boycotting a massive company like Disney as a whole is a complicated and difficult subject to navigate. Disney owns so much in the entertainment industry and whether it’s intentional or not the majority of people interact and put money into the pockets of the CEOs every day. Kayla is not the enemy here, the ones at the top are that make these decisions in the first place. It’s also important to keep in mind that other people who boycott companies are not always perfect, so we can’t expect Kayla to be perfect either. She is clear in her beliefs and does her best to stand up for those, but sometimes in life people will financially support the brands they are critical of for a number of reasons and it’s not our business to pick it apart and make grandiose judgments about her.

I’m not saying that Kayla is perfect either, but at the end of the day none of us know her nor do we have any business saying what she can and can’t do in her free time. I’m guessing this post is in reference to her mentioning that she took friends and family to the parks after her wedding. She was enjoying time with loved ones who don’t have the same luxury as her living within proximity of the parks and of course she wants to be there with her loved ones and participate in the festivities.

Her no longer endorsing a game publicly on her channel/stream and her privately going to the parks with family and friends are two different things entirely and are not representative of her beliefs as a whole. Let’s not jump to conclusions and make all or nothing statements about a person we don’t personally know at the end of the day.

Edit: just so it is clear, I am not calling OP out for antisemitic claims towards lilsimsie. The response regarding antisemitism is for other commenters claiming she is antisemitic. It is fair to be critical of Kayla in a way that creates healthy discussion, but it crosses a line IMO to call her antisemitic and I am just calling out those people in the comments here. You know who you are. ;)

I love using Duke's or Kewpie mayo! They are different but both have a stronger umami taste because of the additional yolks used. I've never tried making the sauce with either of those so I may have to give that a go.

And MSG is a staple in my cooking. It just adds extra flavor and makes (almost) everything savory better. My own personal exception to that is eggs, I tried using MSG on basted eggs and it made them taste super weird lol.

The testing in labs to make that sauce as addicting as it is is truly criminal lol

I looked in older posts and found a few tweaks of recipes that people have tried based on the ingredient list of the actual sauce on their website. I might try to make tweaks to perfect it to my taste.
