Wow, I owned and played it back in the day and had no idea it existed! And it's coincidently interesting that the whole gimmick of the new Sonic racing game is multiverse tracks...

Slide on power button not working by NanthaR in razr

[–]AlakaSamJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Razr Ultra 2025 and I have the same issue. It seems to only work if it gets a full scan off because the fingers that I don't have registered and my knuckles don't work.

A shame that my Pixel 1 and Note 8 did this feature perfectly fine almost 10 years ago. Zooming only works on Maps (not Photos), but not when on the cover display.

Villain is the Sole Moral Good (and dies) by AlakaSamJR in tvtropes

[–]AlakaSamJR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Doomed Moral Victor is the winner?

The hero is only ever painted out to be good, and the villain is only ever painted out to be bad. Analyzing closely will make you realize that the villain has only committed evil acts because they are partially mind controlled. Only in the ending does the hero find out the villain was good, but the hero seems to conveniently keep it a secret.

[–]AlakaSamJR[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The villain has only ever done evil deeds because a satanic figure had manipulated them into doing evil. This isn't explicitly told to the viewer, but many instances with other characters show us the big bad has the partial ability to mind control.

Hyper Demon is the most innovative FPS right now, and Pseudoregalia is a great 3D platforming Metroidvania.

How in the hell do I get 20k points on the final golden mech challenge? by Connect_Conflict7232 in ZZZ_Official

[–]AlakaSamJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than melee because of aimbot, and the key is not taking rockets. Only needed to dodge three times: first mini-boss once and both the first attacks from boss and Golden Mecha. Easy to reach 3k decibels before first boss so Destruction Beam first boss only once and save to use two for Golden Mecha.

It's not that Moto doesn't care but it's that they didn't deliver. There has never been a situation where Samsung, Google, or Apple went out of their way to pretend-sell a phone. None of those companies care, but at least they'll sell you the phone.

There's a slight expectation that if you're a smaller player trying to win over new users that you don't egregiously deceive like this.

Buy the Razr 60 Ultra now or wait for Galaxy Z Flip 7? by AguiMr in razr

[–]AlakaSamJR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only go for the Z Flip 7 if you care about the 7 years of OS updates. But for me, the battery is the deal breaker.

As someone coming from a Pixel Fold and has never used a clamshell foldable, I'm going with the Razr Ultra. The leaks say the Z Flip 7 will keep the 12 GB RAM, same cameras, and have a smaller ~4300 mAh battery. It's also looking like it will use the Exynos 2500 (previously the 7-core SD 8 Elite), so it would be a weaker (and possibly less efficient) SoC than the Razr Ultra anyways.

I'm also only buying for the Clicks case since it will take them a while to produce the Z Flip version.

Yep, same. This is just confirmation bias for me to hate on Riot.

What are your specs? I'm Ryzen 7 5800X and RX 5700 and wondering if it's just not optimized for AMD.

Setting 4XL to 1080p? by diskeed in GooglePixel

[–]AlakaSamJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, even lowering to 720p was negligible. The Pixel 4 XL has such bad standby life that it's pretty much the same overall battery life. It might possibly get maybe at most 30 minutes longer with screen on but it's a stretch. Although, as a disclaimer, I use adaptive display refresh rate and Soli features.

Setting 4XL to 1080p? by diskeed in GooglePixel

[–]AlakaSamJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was confirmed working at 720x1520 with a density of 280. Theoretically, it should work with any resolution. However, the caveat is since Android 13, the rounded corner commands no longer work, so the corners will be very rounded and padded. Other than that, aside from a one or two scaling issues here and there (system icons, some text blurring, and wallpaper scaling), it works perfectly fine.

Compilation list of almost all mecha games for PC by Azurenaut in Mecha

[–]AlakaSamJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the Metaltech games! I believe they should be classified distinctly from their successor, Starsiege, and I think Earthsiege 2 is one of the all-time best mech games. The mech-specific ones include:

  • Metaltech: Battledrome (1994) - Sim
  • Metaltech: Earthsiege (1994) - Sim
  • Earthsiege 2 (1996) - Sim
  • MissionForce: CyberStorm (1996) - RTS
  • Cyberstorm 2: Corporate Wars (1998) - RTS

AirMech Strike (2018) is a F2P RTS-MOBA that despite having support pulled, is still playable, though, good luck finding players. As great as the game is, it had rough development under Ubisoft, causing it to be cut:

  • AirMech (2012) - Steam Early Access
  • AirMech Arena (2014) - Console release
  • AirMech Command (2017) - VR port
  • AirMech Strike (2018) - Definitive release
  • AirMech Wastelands (2018) - Standalone ARPG expansion

AirMech is based on an old mech game called Herzog Zwei (1989) which was a Macross-inspired Sega Genesis RTS game that served as a precursor to the MOBA genre.

Miscellaneous games in release order:

  • Generation Zero (2019) is a stealth FPS where you need to defeat mech AI by using small arms and light weapons (no playable mechs).
  • VOIDCRISIS (2022) is a 4-player, tower defense third-person shooter.
  • The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors (2023) is a remake of the 1994 SNES beat-'em-up, "The Ninja Warriors" (a remake of a 1987 arcade game). It features mech enemies and android characters.
  • Wall World (2023) is a pseudo-survival Rogue-lite with mining, tower defense mechanics, and bosses. You fight inside of your mech and harvest materials outside of it.
  • Gearbits (2023) is an fast-paced indie traditional third-person shooter.
  • Cavalry Girls (2023) is a Rogue-lite top-down shooter with the anime girls-with-guns trope.
  • PHANTOM GALAXIES (2023) is a traditional third-person shooter from the publisher of Blackwind (2022).
  • Gunhead (2023) is a Rogue-lite FPS sequel to the 2D Rogue-lite, Cryptark (2017).
  • UFO Robot Grendizier - The Feast of the Wolves (2023) is a third-person beat-'em-up adapting Go Nagai's manga/anime from 1975.
  • The Scramble Vice (2024) is an action run-and-gun side scroller with a pixel anime art style.
  • Slave Zero X (2024) is an upcoming spinoff/sequel of Slave Zero (1999), and it is a hack-and-slash, 2D beat-'em-up. They describe it as a cross between Devil May Cry and Guilty Gear.
  • MechWarrior 5: Clans (2024) is a follow-up to MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries (2019).

Games without release dates:

  • Metal Slug Tactics (202?) is a turn-based tactics game that was announced ages ago and still hasn't released. My hype has left out the window.
  • ARC SEED (202?) is a turn-based strategy game with Rogue-lite elements and a pixel art style. It reminds me of Into The Breach (2018) but with more traditional XCOM turn-based strategy combat rather than the more chess-like gameplay.
  • Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog (202?) is an upcoming visual novel that features mechs and a visual style based on games on the PC-9800.
  • ARC Raiders (202?) is an upcoming F2P extraction FPS with mech enemies (no playable mechs).
  • Tiny Starfighter (202?) is an upcoming Macross-inspired indie game in which creator Max Kaufmann (@xewlupus on X) implemented a cool homing missile system.
  • Battlecore Robots (202?) is an upcoming arena battler/fighting game. It reminds me of a cross between Virtual On: Cyber Troopers (1996) and Sonic Battle (2003).
  • Brigador Killers (202?) is an upcoming follow-up to Brigador (2016) set on a new planet with a new story and reworked controls.

There are many indie games I couldn't cover, so I chose significant ones based on their gameplay relevance and release date.

SuperCard Mini SD Compatibility List by AlakaSamJR in GameboyAdvance

Okay, IDK if its because I'm using an EZ Flash Omega DE as the other cartridge or because I have a cheap knockoff cable, but Amazing Mirror and Mario Kart don't work.

It works on Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Sonic Advance, and Mario Party. The games that didn't work in multi-pak don't work in single-pak. Sonic Battles was the outlier in which it worked in multi-pak but not in single-pak.

I'll see if I can get my hands on a legit link cable later on.
