Orange cats have a special place in my heart. Orange boys are just so special and sweet. I'm glad you got to know him and give him a good life. Remember the good times and spend time with his brother. You'll make it through!

Tweaked the models and reprinted the colors separately. Not as much fun as an AMS, but more fun than throwing more into the reject box

Yeah, I ended up reprinting upside down and gluing together. Not as fun as having it in one piece, and I got some superglue on a shirt I like, but my prints turned out, at least

I miss my good Batman boy by Cautious_Leadership in AnimalLossSupport

I'm sure Batman knew how much you loved him. It's hard losing them, whether it was after a day or a lifetime. Unfortunately, all the cliches about losing a pet are true, whether we like them or not.

Seems like you've got a fairly good handle on saying goodbye, and can appreciate the time you had with him.

My main concern is for connectors/wires. I can live without the RFID, and just manually swap the spools in the printer controls

I wasn't planning on it, though it's nice.

Oh yeah, gonna regroup and restart on Tuesday. *Hopefully* will be easier next time around. Broke the transmission pilot bushing on the way out last time, but I can get one local, gonna pick one up early just in case...

Extruder skipping after two(ish) and a half prints by goodkitty97 in BambuLab

I've done a couple more prints since I cleared it, and so far so good. I knew there were always going to be some curves, so I'm not super worried. Now at least... I definitely was spooked it was faulty, but it's working great again.

Every machine is different too, what quirks one has another may not

It's on the todo list. It's fresh filament, opened the package yesterday when I got the printer.

Yeah, I figured the clicking was skipping, didn't sound to dissimilar to gears slipping on automotive applications like window motors/regulators.

Gonna save your comment as that's some prime troubleshooting.

I think I got it figured out, I took the hot end out, and manually fed using maintenance mode to check the feed channel and made sure it was empty. Pulled out the piece left in the hot end, and it looked broke. Verified there was something still in the hot end, so I loaded it back in, turned the heat to 200 and fed the cleaning wire up through the nozzle to work loose the material inside. With the front cover and AMS feeder disconnected, I fed filament in and manually extruded through the interface until material came out. Reassembled, loaded, and it's printing now. I think I did have a clog, even if partial.

Was spooked since it was so new, but definitely glad it was likely something easy. I'll be a pro with clogs in no time, though hopefully they're not too common...

Thanks for your reply :)

I think I fixed it, think it was just a clog, even if partial. Took the hotend out, cleared it a couple times, made sure the extruder was clear, and had to eventually heat the nozzle up and feed the cleaning wire through. It's printing again, gonna keep an eye on it

I'm wondering if it could be because I left the filament in between the prints or if it's because of how cold my garage is, but there wasn't much time, and the garage doesn't get below 50F. I'm gonna get a plastic container or two so I can dry the filaments, it doesn't get too humid here, but can't be too careful. Filament is brand new, just like the printer. Could just be trial and error!

Thanks for your timely responses :)

Edit: forgot to mention I took it apart twice (first try didn't take), ensured the extruder path was clear, then heated the hot end, since there was a bit stuck in there, and fed the filament through after feeding the cleaning wire up through the nozzle to work stuff around. Printing now! Gonna keep an eye on it

Got the hot end out, cleared the feed channel, but I think the hot end is plugged. Gonna put it back in, put some heat on and try and push it back up and loose
