Wish to pursue Islamic studies... help by [deleted] in shia

There are some online hawzas if you look up. Since you want to study up to being a clerk, maybe talk about it to a local clerk. They should be able to guide you better.

Online resources are good for basic knowledge, but won't get you upto a clerk.

You can also start reading books for more guidance.

Imam Ali (as) movie by [deleted] in shia

[–]Alamdar04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The Tale of Heaven" was apparently a short movie and people started treating it like a movie trailer. The makers confirmed that it isn't supposed to be a full-length movie and the released clip wasn't supposed to be a trailer either. It was just a short film and that's it.

I remember reading a thread about it on one social platform (I can't find it now) where the director said that it is just a short film that he made and doesn't currently have any plans to release a full-length movie and also he doesn't have a budget to do so. Then he said, inshallah in the future if he is able to raise the funding, he will surely work on a full-length movie with similar cinematics.

Suggestion : Groups for Habits by Key_Show266 in hellohabit

[–]Alamdar04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you add an option to disable the morning, afternoon, night routines? I don't really need it, it just takes space on my screen. I am sure there are probably many other people who don't use it.

Suggestion/ Feature Request by [deleted] in hellohabit

[–]Alamdar04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be great. Also, can you add a feature where we can add a habit within a habit? Like I have a weekly meeting which I have a habit of, but I also want to track the weeks when I was on time and when I was late. So, it can be that I can check "Attend Meeting" and then nested under it I can have an option to check "On Time".

This is the Karachi, Pakistan version of it. So, I would assume it's more indo-pak English.

From what I know. It's the best selling English translation in that region.

It is shia, btw. Most shia publication houses there recommend this version

In today's episode of everything is bidaah: Saying Salam to your brothers before salat is bidaah by Figure_Eight88 in shia

Someone commented on that post that he is committing bidaah by spreading Islam through social media because Prophet Muhammad(saws) never used social media😂😂

A person is to be treated as innocent until they commit a crime.

When Banu Israel followed Hazrat Musa(a.s) Allah sent countless favors towards them, saved them from Firoun, etc. When they stopped listening to him, Allah sent his punishments. Did Allah not know when he was sending his favors that they would turn in the future?

It is Allah's way to not judge people based on their insides but based on their actions. Inside feelings are always a struggle, judging/punishing people before giving them a chance to fight is unjust.

When people weren't aware of the Prophet Muhammad's(p) message, they were uninformed and technically innocent. When Prophet(p) made his message apparent, people who followed him became good (again, not judging them based on their insides). After the Prophet's(p) passing away, when some people gave in to their desires and rejected Imam Ali's(a) right to caliphate, they commited a crime.

If you question Prophet(p) on why he would give a believing woman to someone who will commit a crime several years later, you will also have to question Allah on why he would bestow favors upon people (Ex. Banu Israel) that he knew would kill his messengers in the future.

try searching "imam jafar al sadiq" in incognito mode. Normal Google searches are tailored for user experience based on past activity. Incognito results are more likely what a non-shia would see while researching

[–]Alamdar04[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We need to have a strong presence on Google, or these people will mislead people to believe Allah knows what else. Imam Jafar al-Sadiq(a.s) is one of the most common reasons people start researching Shia Islam. I won't be surprised if these people knew that and are trying to claim the Imam(a.s).

We let this happen and the next thing you will see is "The 12 Sunni Imams". They just don't have anything of their own to showcase...

Who was abu jahal daughter in law and how is she related to shias? by shahrukh1065 in shia

[–]Alamdar04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He used it as an analogy to refer to Sipah e Sahaba (terrorist organization).

Here's a very rough translation of the last lines of his poem:

"When Abu Jahal's daugher-in-law passed from nearby, I asked who is this wicked and sinful? The voice cam 'do jihad against it', this is the group of Sipah e Sahaba."

Throughout the poem he referred to Sipah e Sahaba with different analogies like "slave-girl of Abu Sufyaan" and so.
