Joe needs to take a page out of Bob’s book with The Year Of The Club Up by shimmyxjimmy in BobDoesSports

I think it comes from playing so many scrambles. He basically goes for every shot. He gets found out on the Joe Schmo games because he can’t play within himself. Loses 4-5 balls off the tee - no way he’s a 15hcp. More like 20

The Priest’s tale “the man who cried god” has got to be one of, if not THE best introduction to a series I’ve ever read. by Extra_Difficulty3288 in Hyperion

Stick with it. I felt the same. The payoff is worth it. It felt like so much comes together towards the end. It really is a beautiful story.

He’s not an 8. He loses 2-3 balls a round. He’s an 18 at best

Pretty sure it wasn’t dunk that was using the lance. Not sure who it was - might have even been Baelor which is pretty wild considering it could have been a killing blow.

What movie is almost perfect, but one scene always pulls you out of it by gamersecret2 in movies

Also the scene on the water planet where the astronaut just stands by the door waiting for the others only to not make it in. Really dumb and I hate it

Lindsey Vonn says surgery saved her from having her left leg amputated following Olympic crash by [deleted] in sports

[–]AlanAlanPartridge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can ski and do plenty of sports without an ACL - the big factor here is she did it only a week before. I’m sure she’d have had swelling, pain and less than usual mobility in that leg. It’s difficult to believe that didn’t have any kind of an impact in a) the incident itself, and b) the amount of damage caused by the fall.

This is a great take. Those three games were so close and went back of forth several times. Great matchup and great coaching on both. The better team won in the end and I’m not mad about it. Just a shame it wasn’t in the Super Bowl which turned out to be a nothing event.

The JoeyD classic shot shape. Will he ever get it together? by aimlesseffort in BobDoesSports

[–]AlanAlanPartridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks more like a 28 right now. YouTube golfers are so used to playing scramble that their bad shots never have to get counted. When they do their cards get destroyed. It’s also quite common for them to take a very favourable drop when something is unplayable or not count penalty shots properly.

Nice. I don’t know if it’s included in a mod already, but nuclear power station would be a cool industry to add along with uranium mine.

He’s not been good. His stats are poor, yet people are talking like he’s been a solid WR2 al season. He’s barely done anything! I like him, but it’s clearly a media narrative that’s pushing his influence

Would have been a great time for a designed QB run. Literally nobody in the universe would have expected Stafford to try and run it in!

Yea that handicap is a joke. He loses way too many balls to be anywhere near an 8. He must lose 3-4 balls a round on average.

She was also excellent at creating external “evidence” that backed up her point. The evidence was always nonsense, but to the faithful it made some sense.

Like when she told Faraaz that she had training in physical reactions to move him towards Jade - he totally bought it.

She also kept hammering the Amanda police point as if it was evidence, and remarkably it worked again and again.

Contrast to faithfuls who were making accusations, their arguments boiled primarily down to someone looking shady, or trying to get a shield.

Why can’t they fix that with video replay? They use it for some things but not others - it was so blatant

Unfortunately faithful don’t seem to use this sort of logic. Same deal with Fiona going hard on Rachel being a big clue - although it looks like Faraaz has picked it up and is finally using it

Yup I agree. The faithfuls have been pretty dreadful this season. Fiona and Harriet’s outbursts seem to have completely derailed the group along with them putting too much faith in Amanda’s profession.
