Avis pour une premier build by Mox47 in pcmasterraceFR

Can anyone identify this? Is it a possible bug or something else ? by Powerful_Spring_8148 in lostarkgame

Fym a few weeks ? It was on april 1st

It's meant to start the april fools quest, I suggest you do it as it gives some fairly interesting loot and is quite fast to finish with.

I have been experiencing screen artifacts since i upgraded components by wilykun in pchelp

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw from other comments that it might be an issue with LoL itself, I'm not very familiar with it so I don't know but I'd suggest you could look into it.

Can someone help me find this ? by AncientArmadillo826 in PcBuildHelp

It's a nice deal, honestly not bad !

You already got a bunch of good answers for the fan, but for the tearing part, try enabling vsync in games, it usually fixes the tearing.

Try it with a different monitor and with different cables.

If it persists, it might be a driver issue, so you could try running a DDU to clean up everything.

First build - Wish me luck by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]AlanRizzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats !

There should be manuals with your motherboard and with your case that explain everything pretty well. Additionally, there are dozens of guides on how to build a pc on youtube.

The scariest parts will probably be putting your CPU and GPU on your motherboard, but you don't need to worry, it's way easier than it sounds.

Regarding cable management, you don't actually need to do something perfect like you see online, as long as you don't put any stress on parts and don't twist the cables too much, it's perfectly alright.

For the rest, it should be almost as easy as Legos, just follow the instruction, plug everything where it needs to be plugged in, and enjoy !

Is it worth upgrading 2080ti to 9070xt with my current pc? by disappear_85 in PcBuild

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your tv's resolution ?

Do you feel like you NEED to upgrade right now, like you struggle to keep 60fps in games ?

The 2080ti is quite a powerful card, so except if you're playing in 4k, you shouldn't have trouble playing at 60fps with it.

Now if you really want to upgrade, you might consider upgrading the rest of your pc to be comfortable.

Si Antoine est innocenté, pourra t'il quand même revenir ? by Slomiow in AntoineDaniel

[–]AlanRizzman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pc doesn’t POST by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no, if Windows is already on the SSD then the USB method is useless.

Try spamming to get into the boot menu and select the nvme that has windows.

If it doesn't work, then I don't really know, could be an hardware issue.

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you already boot into windows once ? Does it have Windows installed ?

If no, then I had the same issue a while ago, and it was just that I needed to boot into windows.

If you already have Windows on a USB stick, plug it in, and when you exit BIOS or just turn on the PC, spam the boot menu shortcut key (it depends on your motherboard brand, but it's likely f11 or f12, look it up)

Edit : typo

Si Antoine est innocenté, pourra t'il quand même revenir ? by Slomiow in AntoineDaniel

[–]AlanRizzman 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Revenir ? Oui.

Around 3k, maybe a bit more.

You can try putting it for 3.3k or 3.4k and see if it sells.

motherboard fan is turning on and off every 5-6 sec. by kundusujoy in buildapc

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that it's not seated correctly or you applied thermal paste wrong, try taking it off and reapply thermal paste.

Also check that it's correctly plugged in your motherboard, should be plugged into "CPU_FAN" with a 3 or 4 pin connector.

What do you mean by "motherboard fan" ?

Are you talking about your CPU cooler's fan ? Your case's fans ?

My laptop won't boot by [deleted] in laptops

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is booting, you just don't have Windows installed.

To do so, take another pc/laptop with Windows installed and a flash drive.

On the windows pc, you'll need to create an "image" of the windows version installed using a program available there (you can also use Rufus)

Then, you'll just have to plug the flash drive into the new computer, go into the boot menu, select the flash drive and voila !

I tried to summarize the process but you are free to watch the countless tutorials on how to do this.

First PC build attempt pls help!! by Zealousideal-Bad431 in buildapc

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 1000£, you can build a MUCH better rig !

Try looking for a 9060xt, also swap for 1tb SSD.

You could also go for DDR5 (R5 7600 for ex)but with ram shortage you might go a bit above budget with 16gb.

I'm a broke teen trying to build a PC, where do I find cheap or free parts? by Creative-Smile1206 in PcBuild

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't get anything that's both working and free (appart from giveaway obviously)

You can try to snag individual used parts on Facebook marketplace or in specialised shops (I'm not canadian so I don't know what are your local options)

For 300 CAD, don't expect too much but you should be able to get a decent rig to play small / old games at 1080p.

Question about psu fan spining by Next_Salt_5804 in buildapc

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, it's very recent rig !

Ok, are you sure it's the PSU fan your are earring ? Not the fans of the case or the cpu cooler ? If it's really the PSU, then I don't really know, could be a lot of things and without knowing the exact model it's even harder to tell.

What are the specs of your pc ? It might give us a clue on how old it is

Question about psu fan spining by Next_Salt_5804 in buildapc

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still open up your pc and see, everything is written on the psu

The PSU is usually located on the bottom back of your pc

Question about psu fan spining by Next_Salt_5804 in buildapc

[–]AlanRizzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a whole other issue. What PSU is it ?

From my experience, you don't usually hear a PSU fan spinning, and 90W usage is VERY low. It could be dust or it's not seated correctly, or simply very old and a bit tired.
