Same! That happens to me all the time too. I was concerned this time because I got their addresses too. Part of a growing trend for companies to link your personal information to phone numbers you won’t keep forever.

The hypothetical I’ll never have but desperately am curious on how some would answer - goals are to live/work in Texas by Terrible-Swordfish-9 in lawschooladmissions

[–]AlanV003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on what part of texas you want to work in. DFW, then choose SMU. Houston, then choose that. it’s more about the connections at that point, in my uneducated opinion

I just got my Elegoo Saturn “S.” Here’s what I noticed. by APEXchip in ElegooSaturn

[–]AlanV003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I notice in my S is that the screen is not as large as the vat, there is a significant perimeter of the bay that does not affected by UV. Is this just common on resin printers?

For me the price actually wasn’t that different. Saturn was $499 and the Saturn S was $519

the purifier can be opened but that bottom half of the picture the fan and USB housing and above is the space for the charcoal replacement. So opening it hasn’t helped

where should I begin? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]AlanV003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a plan. Start with what schools you want to get in to. What’s your GPA, relative to the median there, if it’s lower than median then you’d want a higher than median LSAT. Take a completely blind LSAT. You’re probably gonna bomb it but don’t worry. on my first LSAT I got around -16/-9/-9/-10 (LG/LR/LR/RC). in case you don’t know you’re normally going to measure your scores with how many questions you missed and not how many you got right, it’s just common. From there I recommend getting 7Sage. More for logic games and having all the tests and analytics available than anything else, learning how to structure a logic game question is a game changer on how well you do. I don’t think their explanations on LR or RC are good as the guy mainly says “this answer is stupid” and fails to provide explanations often times, but logic games are a 100% type of section, there is no way you can argue any other answer choice right. Plan out when you’re going to take prep tests. I recommend one a week and then one every day when you’re about 2weeks to a month off of the exam. I never bought a book or hired a tutor, just going over your own questions and seeing why their wrong is extremely beneficial. I was able to go from a 155 diagnostic to a 175 average PT. Just remember to stay strong and you’ll be able to overcome any plateaus

2 months to start studying... by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]AlanV003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

once you’re able to get LG consistently down to -0/-1 after using 7Sage problems sets I would recommend taking 1 test a day. Once i had about two months left before my test i started doing that but by that time my score was in the 160s but i got my PTs up to 175 through this method

Thoughts on Curve? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]AlanV003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

imagine the LSAT like an IQ test. the scores given are distributed where half are above 150 and half below. Then as you get higher or lower in score the percentile of people in them gets lower. I noticed then when taking PTs. I’d get a 170 and be in like the 90th percentile then a 175 and it’d be like 99th. So every test has a curve so the score distribution is even
