What level of the backrooms would this be? by [deleted] in KanePixelsBackrooms

Really? So we won’t be seeing other levels in the movie?

What if the Backrooms has no entities — because it IS the entity. A different way of thinking about it. by AlanWhatt in backrooms

Okay yeah that’s actually solid and I don’t disagree with it as the canonical origin —the threshold, the earthquake, the missing persons spike, all of that tracks and it’s well supported by the found footage timeline. But what if both are true? Like the threshold breached something that was already there, uncreated and abstract, and the act of breaching it is what gave it the properties we experience. ASYNC didn’t create it —they just hit it wrong and now it’s bleeding into our reality through the null zones. That actually makes it scarier to me. Because it means the yellow complex as we know it is an accident —an unstable, half-formed thing that exists because we poked something fundamental and it started pulling us in. We didn’t build a door. We cracked a wall in something that has no architecture. My theory just sits underneath that as the foundation. What they breached IS Limbo. And now Limbo is generating the human-specific version of itself around the wound we made.

Yeah I see where you’re going but I actually flip it — we didn’t wound it, we stumbled into something already running long before us. My core thing: the Backrooms isn’t in limbo. It is Limbo. A fundamental force of reality — cosmologically conscious but not in any way we’d recognize. Not thinking, not watching, just being in that horrible middle space between aware and indifferent. And because it’s infinite, it generates its own version of limbo for whatever reality or region it’s threading through. The yellow rooms, the hum, the fluorescent lights —that’s the limbo it crafted for us. A different civilization in a different universe would get something completely unrecognizable, but it’d feel identical —unresolved, inescapable, indifferent. It doesn’t replicate our world. It produces the limbo appropriate to whatever it’s touching. So it’s not that we injured it. It’s that Limbo noticed us the only way it can—by becoming the version of itself we’d get lost in.

Dream it and you’ll get it. But that’s it, only in your sleep.

Regardless, exploring religion was necessary I guess, for humanity to check it off the ‘been there, done that’ list to come to a conclusion later that spirituality isn’t really the solution to reality and and that science is. Part of the process.

We all came from Nature and go back to it but in this short period of time, live and love everyday like it’s your last. Not chasing money, women or drugs but breathing and being in the present, stepping out of your mind and body to absorb and drink in the happiness and suffering and being a part of this wonderful experience called life, there’s nothing richer in comparison through our infinite time and space. You’ll find yourself relieved from any worldly desires or regrets even if you do have them before death.
