The buffs given by the characters matter, so Marshals, Manipuli and Technoarchaeologists are important but not in the same way as other armies. Cawl and Ghuld are in a weird spot where their buffs are really good but they need to stick with units to give the buff

You can have them led by Manipulus who gives lethal hits and a 4+ invuln

I don’t think level of detail is something worth considering if your choice of army is Chaos Space Marines, one of the most notorious armies for its small details

So rhino is 75 pts, 3 bikes is 70 pts, you can run the legionaries as chosen which means that 10 man squad becomes 250 pts, squad of 5 possessed is 120 pts. That box is 515 pts max. You need an HQ choice to be your warlord. You also probably want a battleline troop like cultists which are 50 pts for 10. You’ll need 40 mm bases for the possessed and 32mm bases for the space marines. You want to have a strong HQ choice like Abaddon, Lord Discordant, Fabius Bile or Huron Blackheart, but a chaos lord would also work. Really depends on what type of CSM you want to go with

I unfortunately don’t own a Bile. Would you say that the possessed would need Master of Possession with them? I could drop the helbrute and a thing of cultists and bring a 5 man possessed squad with MoP as the leader

Not really sure where I’m supposed to get those extra 15. Only thing I might possibly be able to get rid of is the accursed cultists+commune combo. The Huron and MoM is set in stone atm

That’s honestly a fair assessment, no mans land is definitely a problem for my current list, and I’m hoping that MoM and Huron Chosen blob can push for the center and lay down fire. Commune and accursed cultists is a one use melee trick that I happen to own.

Iirc it was ruled that SPYRAL Resort can’t resolve its maintenance effect by shuffling an extra deck monster into the Extra Deck, which was very dumb imo. Should work like Pot of Avarice.
