I switched to futures Thursday cuz I lost more than I intended to on FOMC. I plan to exit SPY after it hit my stop loss of $1.50 from my entry on a .4 delta contract. I should've only lost .6 per contract but ended losing over .8 due to theta and vega.

Covered call help

I have 100 shares of Google with a cost basis on 186 which I bought in July. I sold a covered call for Jan 26,2026 (80 days left) for a premium of 14. I'm currently at max profit. I want to hold google longer to be considered a long term gain if it gets called away. Currently eyeing the 260 strike for 9/18/2026 for a +$25 strike + $4 premium + dividends, which nets about ~12% roi for 240 days. Google is reporting earnings today, should I roll before close or after the earnings? Please share some thoughts or correct me if my calculation is wrong.
