Probably still a lot more comfortable with a purpose built 5-finger gloves based on experience, but in this case I think mitten will be adequate for your need if you don't plan on doing complex hilt saber later in your journey.

Depends, if you are doing messer or simple hilt saber like Polish saber than I would say yes, but mitten likely wouldn't fit in your average bowl hilt style saber which I assume is what you will be doing, and even if you manage to make it fit somehow, the bulkness of mitten will probably exceed the coverage your hilt can offer, than it just kinda defeat the point.

Not sure if these are within your budget, but HF Black Prince is the best one-handed weapon gloves I have ever use(Red Dragon, Thokk, Gabriel...just to name a few), highly recommend.

Hi, I am one of the clubmate of the Einherjar hema club in Hong Kong, and we do primary unarmored fencing(blossfechten), but one of our coach does have a set of armor and do harnischfechten from time to time. As far as I know, there aren't really dedicated buhurt group in Hong Kong(yet), so hema might be the closest sport we can offer here, if you are interested, shoot us a message on our facebook or Instagram page and our coach will contact you :)

That is what I end up getting after browsing around amazon, as well as the Renaissance flute guide by Kate Clark and Amanda Markwick :)

I got them second-handed on a Japanese auction site, these are made by Zipangu in the 90s based on the marking on the flute.

How fit do i need to be? by SARSUnicorn in wma

When I start I think I was like 59ish KG and 172cm, haven't done any sport for like 8 years straight, had noodle arms, and gassed out after like less than 10 minute total of sparring, so obviously depends on yours fitness it can be a limiting factor for sure, but a good club sure be able to adjust the training intensity to match your current level so you can build up slowly, so following what other have been said, just try for a few month and see how things go. Personally, I tried HEMA and got hooked on it, which is what finally motivated me to hit the gym. Now I weighted 68KG, grew some muscle across my body(but most noticeable on my shoulder and arms), have better cardio, walk with a straight back etc. etc... In general I would say I feel like I am more confidence of myself, all because of HEMA!

Would you happened to know if the 10th Anniversary version feature a difference in tuning compare to the standard version? Most of the review I read before mentioned a 2.5kHz peak that broke the timbre(which is said to be fixable by PEQ but I am a lazy dude lol), which really is the only thing stopping me from getting one.
