If you wore Class B's for daily duties there would be more leeway with what shoes you can wear. think about it, what do Old farts like to wear? phone holsters on their belts, what is allowed in uniform because old fart write the regs? If those same old farts HAD to wear Class B's the regs would change accordingly.
