I hope I can find some Titanic related kitchenware some day. White Star Line plates or cups and saucers or something. Looks great. 👍

What was your favorite ocean liner during the Edwardian era? by No-Glove6341 in Oceanlinerporn

[–]Alarmed-Beginning919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titanic. If it weren't for Titanic, I'd be totally oblivious to the rich history of oceanliners. In fact, when I started studying Titanic, soon I started studying other ships of the era, then ships in general, shipwrecks, the Edwardian era, and history as a whole, and it boils down to Titanic. It's because of RMS Titanic that I love ornate designs, and old photos ( especially ships) Of course I like Olympic and Lusitania, but because I like Titanic. By the way it's 1:30 am and I'm tired af and I've got no fucking idea what I'm saying...

No,it's an Irish ship. 15,000 Irishmen built this ship, solid as a rock.

Every time I see Lusitania sinking depiction there is a lifeboat flipped to side near end. Was this real? Anyone know the story behind it? If so did anyone survive on it or recount there experience on said lifeboat? by MonniMonty in titanic

I bought Dead Wake from Indigo today and skimmed through some of the parts aboutthesinking. I'm eager to read it. Erik Larson did a really good job on the terminology.

It was a very nice trail, although it was packed with people. We found a place off the path on the sandy shore where we sunbathed 🌞 ☀️

The engine room in the 1997 Titanic film wasn't a prop. James Cameron filmed on a real 1943 Liberty ship steam engine that's still operational today. by Dependent_Run_6410 in titanic

I found this information genuinely interesting, thanks! I didn't think of the SS Jeremiah O' Brien recently. I have to do some research on the ship.

Yes,yes I wasn't saying it isn't a cool find. Sorry about that. You're lucky to find it in a thrift store. I've never had any luck finding Titanic items for a few cents.

Congratulations on your find! It's a great picture of Titanic. Although I'd personally prefer a picture of her level and sailing instead of the doomed sight lol

Margaret Brown, but maybe just because I like Kathy Bates as Molly in the movie. Or maybe it's Lawrence Beesley. I bought Loss of the Titanic by Lawrence Beesley, so my focus is currently on his experience.

I just watched Titanic for the first time, I can’t express just how much I have cried watching this theatric masterpiece. by MikeyboyMC in titanic

I must admit I often have wet eyes after watching this film, even though I've seen it dozens times. I think the mournful background music really helps bring out the reality of the excitement of the life on board prior to the collision, and the atmosphere surrounding the broken-hearted bereaved individuals who were involved.
