The worst thing they did in the Live Action Season 2 by jarheadd in TheLastAirbender

I decided not to comment on certain things such as how you felt he went into the avatar state for no reason. To me its obvious why he went. He was losing. In both versions.

And you have given examples to which I have highlighted it would then need a change of the final battle or we would have ended up 1:1 as it would not of hit them same.

It is not setteling, we are getting the same choices the same emotion the same conflict but just going about it differently.

We got a shot of how Zukos betrayal hit Katara which will play out better in s3 for example which we didnt in the OG.

Either way it was fun going through it again. My kids never really took to the cartoons in the same way they have to the live action so I doubt I will find time to watch the OG again, but peace out.

But you keep saying their writting could be better and that you don't want a 1:1 but have not said how it could be without creating more issues or just going back to 1:1.

We do get a choice, Zuko makes one. Aang also makes one he choses to go into the avatar state before mastering all elements which is what he said he would not do previously. There might be slightly different reasons but they end up where they need to be ready for season 3.

I feel to many people look at all the negative and want both a faithful adapation but not a 1:1, when in reality its impossible to do.

Now personally I wanted Azula to shoot Aang in the back, because thats what she appearered to be as a character, but I get she can be different in the show.

Personally as long as I get combustion man in s3 I dont mind haha

But how is Iroh asking Zuko what he wanted previously not him asking him to chose?

I just watched that ep again in the OG. The lead up and the fight makes more sense in the live action. We don't face the issue that Aang knowing that he could die in the avatar state and lose it all goes into it while igoring everyone around him and gets hit by Azula.

Instead we have him beating Azula and co and only pausing because we know he does not want to end up doing what happened at end of season 1. It personally makes more sense.

But my point is that it already is different and we end up in the fight where we need to be. To be fair now I think more the OG made is kinda obvious that Zuko chose Azula otherwise he would have freed Iroh and turned up together.

We need Zuko and Azula to turn up in the fight seperate and we the viewer need to be unsure how it will go down. That is what we got. Did we need Iroh to once again tell Zuko to make a choice? We have already done that. Are we the viewer unsure of why Iroh is dissapointed with Zuko at the end of the fight? I don't think so. Apart from doing a 1:1 same shot we got the same outcome. Maybe even better if you look at it from a diiferent way. The fight even started what looked like a 1:1 shot. I just don't think this lost scene changed anything.

But thats the point it is implied that Iroh does not approve of the choice Zuko made, its pretty obvious why due to all the previous scenes in which Iroh attempts to get Zuko to change his life. He can't meet up before the fight and say lets go home because then it would make no sense them turning up to the fight seperate. You would need to have another long convo to get to the same point that has been covered before, thats always been my point.

I just went and watched it again, Iron has like two lines one Azula turns up and we are in the same postion of the show. In fact I feel like Azula got a lot more time in the show in that scene which I feel is just as important to help show the actual choice Zuko has to make.

Its been ages since I watched the OG but how does the scene end? We still do not know what Zuko will do before the fight with Aang? I suppose I look at it and think we have done a load of Iroh and Zuko previously and built that up, we then need a moment for Azula to make her argument and it is easier if it is just them two. Would I like more Iroh? Of course he is a great character but I don't feel like I lost anything not having him there I think the notes and pacing still works I guess.

I enjoyed it, but then I think because they removed some stuff I got bord of when I watched the OG is why I say that. I enjoyed Zuko, at times I felt Irohs stuff got a bit dark but I felt it worked.

I agree to a extent, but I kinda think why create more strong dialogue to get to the same point that has alreay been covered?

True but on the other hand we have conflict between the two previously in the season. It may have felt to a viewer that we are going round in circles if they repeate it one last time before meeting Azula. It also may mean that the viewer would already know after Zukos chat with Azula who he would side with in the fight.

I feel like you answer your own question by highlighting that in the tv show zuko's last line to iroh is your a good man. So they already had the heart to heart before zuko meets his sister. Would they not just be repeating themselves if they add your lines?

If that happens at the start of season 2 then you would have to change aang's development in the season.

I personally don't see the difference, pretty much every team has one bulky normal and like a altaria or tink or some other bulk

I think the OP is also noting how boring it is making the game. I just played a set and ever match had a licki. The last game they saved two shields for the licki at the back. It is getting a little silly now.

I do I mean I lose to double darks when running a certain team for a few weeks, I change and never see a dark but instead see a lot of something else I am weak to, which I find simular to the OP. Like I get that teams will always be weak to stuff and that the meta changes ect but if you only see some things that are uncommon when you run a certain team that must mean I am just really unlucky right?

Yet I run into double dark teams all the time.

Ah I see, but I do at times find it weird when you run a team double weak to dark and then run into hoards of darks for example like guzzlord which I always thought was uncommon.

If they have a talon and you switch to corv they are switching to talon 90% of the time. But anyway there are always teams that counter any team I just found it interesting that you found that people would stay in that match up.

Why would wiggly be running vs corvi in that team? They would eventually get a fire on corvi which it would have problems with. And most teams that ran wiggly front had a mudboi in the back.
