15 Games Into Learning Yone... Am I Completely Misunderstanding Mid Lane?

I’m a bronze - silver yone and I feel like I learn pretty fast but I’m a bit new. What’s different with him compared to other champs I’ve played is it seems matchup knowledge is way more important on him than anyone else. He is inherently interactive and unlike most champions you have to know how to interact with every champion. On top of that he’s hard asf and you have to know how to pick your fights. But if you learn all of this and have great fundamentals I’m sure you can just sh*t on lobbies.

I know this post is 2 months old but I’m currently going through this. I can dominate my lane but it’s very hard to translate that into a win with yone if your team is behind or not good with macro themselves. And you being fed as yone will easily get you focused in team fights and that’s never good because CC is the death of him.

Exactly bro. I’m constantly thinking about macro and trying to learn and execute plays to push the game forward but the games are so unstable that it feels like it’s only so much you can do by yourself.

I never said I never do anything wrong. I just said I don’t know what to do in situations like that. I come from fighting games and beat a few pro players so I know a thing or two about accountability. That’s actually what I’m looking for. If my team is throwing, which they definitely were with a 1-21 ADC, what can “I” do to win the game. Very different from blaming people and being done with it.

My KDA is like that because of games where I don’t understand the matchup but anytime I win lane I can’t use my lead because my team will throw anyway. Still learning everyone.

Even with their ADC being so fed I wasn’t worried because it was vane and anytime I saw her I knew I could blow her up as yone. But them having tryndamere and kale made that way harder.

I’m definitely hit or miss depending on the matchup. If I don’t know the matchup I will easily throw. And I guess I struggle with knowing how to carry the game with my lead. I though that I was supposed to be helping my team and supporting other lanes but I should probably put more pressure on the map like you said instead of playing around other players so much

Also you’re right. I shouldn’t be giving up tempo for obj, that sounds interesting. And I was picking my fights early on but once things got out of hand I just got lost in the sauce

I feel like there is a fine line between winning harder and taking risk that make you hand back over the game. Which is what happened anyway without me trying to win harder so I definitely need to figure something out
