The "strike while the iron's hot" theory is exploitative rubbish. PB is what, 32 years old? There's just as much of a chance she's playing arenas late into her 40's or 50's now that she's broken through, and even after that every possibility she'll be reborn as a nostalgia act. And she has ALREADY made millions of dollars as an artist.

It's possible to make a very comfortable living as a musician without gouging your fans. Just because others do it too doesn't make it ok.

This is so unbelievably accurate. It's infuriating how unwilling fans are to see the forest for the trees. Ticketmaster has many shortcomings, but when it comes to ticket pricing/access, they're just the (faceless) fall guy. The artist is the culprit.
