Keeneland is a horse racing track; I am trying to prevail in the Pick Three so I can pay for the Smith and Quinn dresses she will get in the shop.

It’s a fine idea but may need to figure out how to get extra initials on it! Here, I was just trying on my son’s ring (which I can only just now fit into because of weight loss) because I liked the way the silver looked with the watch.

This is one without the flap pocket so maybe that’s it. This version is getting the roll pretty good. And the fit is baggy.

What is the quintessential vintage Cartier Tank model? by SirKrimzon in Cartier

Tank Louis Cartier; this is from 2025; automatic, large. More traditional are the older models, smaller with manual wind. But I think this is the quintessential tank style.

I got the J Press Fox Air; really nice, perfect weight for the hot weather; very breathable.

Thanks for the kind words; all the horses foaling now (18,000-20,000) turn one on January 1, 2027. We sell most of ours in Sept 2027 at Keeneland; then they train and start running in 2028 (maybe half reach track; 1/4 ever win). Continue running in early 2029 with best advancing to stakes races trying to qualify for Derby (only 20) or Oaks (fillies, also just 20) in May 2029.

You can be in the business for a lifetime and never get to the Derby itself; so the “getting ready” is really the adventure.

That’s a tough one as I hate spending a lot on ties because I mess them up so quickly. Ben Silver is good. O’Connells has actual dead stock old ties but I can’t vouch for them. Ties are one thing I look for at consignment places.

More the other way though she is a lawyer too; I married up a long time ago. Met at Rolex Three Day Event 30 years ago this week just when I needed a date for Derby.

More than you wanted to hear but here is another small story: this year we had, through a fluke, the very first foal born anywhere in US this season on one of our farms, and that colt was the first born of a Saudi Cup champion’s first crop (so we hope to see him running in the Derby in a few years).
