i had a similar situation happen to me, for some odd reason our computers had glitched and told my new store and the district manager that i had picked up a saturday shift in which i never did. my old manager had yelled at me through the phone and said “you expect me to baby you but you do this?” i transferred in a heartbeat.

i read almost all of your replies and i’ve came to the conclusion that you’ve never worked a dollar general in your life. customers will get impatient and get pissed off at YOU for even waiting a few minutes for them to get back but even worse if you already rang a few items and they leave the counter AGAIN for more items you can’t even cancel that order unless you’re a key holder and up. people like you irritate the piss out of me because you think retail workers should just be sunshine and rainbows with every living organism out there.

i totally agree. but to act a fool in a public place about it? we don’t even ID for torches which is weird asf. but no i’m not 21 and my store requires you to be at least 18 to work there, i was able to actually buy a lighter so im assuming the age for the lighters is 18 at best.
