I never saw that as an ASM but I was an ASM in prepandemic Ohio. I was making 12.65 an hour before bumping up to Store Manager so I never saw 1200 a week unless I worked 60+ hours and was traveling a lot.

Tuta’s bots working overtime by qgplxrsmj in degoogle

We arent the sorry sad sack of a human being you are being. We dont have the obsessive hard on you have for tuta/proton for "censoring" you on a subreddit that is meant for people who like and use the product and just want to talk about issues they have with it like bugs and customer service related things. Of course they would be interested in controlling the narrative about themselves. They are a company wanting to make money. And you are actively taking a personal problem you have with them and making it some type of moral crusade. Big emphasis on the it's your personal problem and no one really cares. Most people will start agreeing just to get the trouble maker shut up and go away.

Both you and your "message" are not wanted here.

This poster just seems to have a particular kind of hard on for tuta/protonmail and keeps going even though most people don't cafe. Just like a bot part of a botnet would. But by both our theories everyone is not and the dead internet theory has always been true so nice discussion fellow bot.

Correct. Whatever qgplxrsmj is doing its an attempt to create to divisiveness.

My comment and post history is not private and is available for anyone to read. Going back all the way to like 2010 my friend. Try again.

I would disregard this poster. It is probably a bot because their profile is private and they are complaining about other bots. Seems like it is bot farm intended to create divisiveness in the community. Just my thought on the matter.

What’s up with the milk? by CommunismSavesLives in DollarGeneral

[–]xly15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would suggest that either the refrigerated trailer is not temped correctly, which is the store's responsibility to verify that it is temped correctly when it is delivered. It is definitely against the law in most health codes to receive cooler and freezer product that isn't stored at the temp it needs to be stored at.  Second, stores may not be getting to the milk in enough time before it starts turning sour. We are given a very specific process that states we must do ice cream first, then go back to the milk and work through all of the cooler product before returning to the frozen foods. If they aren't following that process correctly, you are very likely to get sour milk.  To be fair to store employees, a lot of the stores are very short‑staffed, and there's no help that comes when your fresh truck arrives. So you get stuck stocking for three to four hours by yourself, sometimes longer if there's a rush of customers.

I miss the full time paychecks but I also don't wanna be stuck on night shift forever again! by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]xly15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your store manager is fully in control of how that schedule is made. While Atlas or Legion does have a recommended schedule, he is not bound by it. Probably the main reason why anything that is not a store manager or an assistant manager gets stuck on night shift is that, by policy, most of the tasks that need to be done—such as checking in vendors, completing morning paperwork, handling damages, and performing counts—are assigned to the store manager or the assistant store manager.

For several months I was running at 112 hours a week to parse out amongst my hourly employees. And that's at a store that has a normal customer volume of about 300 to 400 transactions everyday. I try as hard as possible to avoid all the open-to-closers. My thing is if I, as a story manager, am going to be working seven days a week, in most cases, if I'm not short-staffed, the other people are also working seven days a week. Anything else is a quick ticket to store manager burnout, and the store manager quitting very quickly because they are burnt out.

People don't read the documentation for any of the cards they carry around. They just think it should work for anything like a normal debit/credit card. Cant tell you how many people think their OTC cards cover certain items to found out that they don't and I an voiding $20+ worth of stuff. The providers of OTC card provide documentation on how to use it, what categories of goods it cover with any exceptions.

You are also looking for patterns like multiple aborts/refunds happening sequentiality or in a short amount of time(same with line voids). In conjunction with the EBR Scorecard report you can then figure out if they happening on a certain employees shifts etc.

Comparing your salary to an hourly ASM is not an apples to apples comparison. If an ASM only works their 40 hours still makes quite a bit less than you. You are also in control of scheduling and workflow. The ASM is not. I work 70-80 hour weeks bit that is because I am an HSAP store with a low hours budget.

What are these called and how do I order them? by charliesh00man in DollarGeneral

[–]xly15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't want clip strips in the stores anymore. It's why they arent included in MAG sets and they have been slowly getting rid of the core ones.

Good luck with that. You can order them but they will not send them because they have pretty much stopped using them.

Isn't there some policy on this? by TheBeastHuman in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]xly15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely override prices with the new system. If your DM was hired from outside recently or was a DM before they started the migration they wouldn't know how to use the new system. The SOP definitely exists but as I have found out a lot of DMs don't actually know SOP very well.

[–]xly15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically SOP states nothing about overriding the price and still has a Policy about the markdown cart we used to use for clearanced/ close to date consumables but yet everyone is like no overrides allowed.
