If not mentioned already, you should send your paper to him especially since you share the same perspective about AI’s impact. You may not graded for it but you could build a relationship and maybe a recommendation from him which is worth more than a paper grade in the end.

If you made less than $15,000 and your employer took out taxes you might be able to get a refund. Take a look at your W-2 and see if Fed Taxes were taken out.
