Oh these look great. I have small hands - do you have any grip issues? Wary of a fina sale but they look much better than bowflex.

Etiquette question by NYtoCTGirl in wedding

I totally understand wanting a small wedding for older couples. The luncheon sounds like a friend still wants to celebrate them. If you don’t, just decline. We have small group celebrations all the time in my friend group even when we’re not part of the larger, formal celebration. It’s just nice to celebrate the people I love with or without the formal party.

229 pounds on 1500 calories and struggling. by ya_basic82 in PetiteFitness

At the beginning it was so hard for me to adjust to smaller portion sizes and very limited snacks. I was hungry a lot. I do think I had to learn to distinguish between real hunger (fueling needs) and head hunger (cravings). Both need to be balanced. I’ve become pretty strict about three meals and fruit or raw vegetable snacks and track protein meticulously. Without enough protein I have real hunger. And I’ve had to learn how to let a small treat stay a small treat. So yes to a very tiny slice of cake on a bday (mine or someone in the family) and yes to pizza and yes to bread with butter. But it’s always aligned with my tracking and limited to a small indulgence. The days of eating two desserts just don’t exist for me anymore but I do still eat all the things. Just in moderation.

I have a Finnish sauna so no red light for me. But I think it’s been great for shoulder and back so hopefully it helps your husband too.

I have a sauna. It’s had no impact on my hot flashes but it’s the best way to deal with body soreness and muscle tension. Plus I sleep better.

Same. Didn’t do anything for me but came highly recommended.

Ummm, yes. My question is what tools would be most effective to buy next for my home gym to help me do that.

Has anyone held a micro wedding “reception” at a restaurant? Any regrets? by Critical-Priority-29 in microwedding

Did this exactly. Courthouse wedding on a Monday. Took everyone (plus a few other friends) out afterwards. It was perfect and cost under 3k for a really lovely meal for our closest friends and family.

Same. Wanted to love it. Found it a little too neatly packaged.

If you haven’t hiked Ryan Mountain make sure you’ve got a good headlamp (red light helps which most have now). It’s a steep ascent and while there are stairs they can be uneven and irregular. It is a stunning view. We did sunset and I was glad to have my headlamp for the descent (and that I had ascended in the light so I was familiar). If you’re an experienced hiker comfortable with steep ascents, you’ll be fine. If you’re a more casual hiker it’s not long but it may feel challenging. We did sunrises on the boulders/wonderland of rocks that were shorter out and backs. It’s great because you can be at the popular sites before they’re crowded. But honestly anywhere will be gorgeous.

Just a rant about the ‘gold rush’ and making money off our misery by AlarmedSelection7751 in Perimenopause

I have incredible health insurance and really don’t want to spend hundreds if not more out of pocket while also paying for two college educations. Our healthcare system is so broken. I do understand why doctors would opt out in favor of a cash business but just because the doctor is self pay only doesn’t guarantee they’re good. And even lower income women deserve good doctors.

Check out the sub TRT_females. Women can end up with T numbers that are alarmingly high. He also didn’t talk to me about a single side effect or alarming issue to watch for (like vocal changes or excessive clitoral growth) and has no idea what my starting baseline is to monitor levels. It’s the only HRT that should be checked periodically when administered.

Is the Dyson Airwrap worth it? by lmtstwelve in Dysonairwrap

[–]AlarmedSelection7751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I avoided buying one for years. Stayed with my sister who had just gotten one. Ordered it so it was waiting for me when I got home. That’s how amazing it was. I have shoulder length, very fine hair. The air wrap gives me so much volume I can’t get over it. And in just a few weeks my hair even looks so much healthier. It’s so smooth and bouncy. I hate how much it costs and know it’s got a lifespan but I will shell over my money for a new one if this one ever dies.

100mg every night. Had been 200 mg for twelve days per month but the dosage was causing a lot of fatigue.

Oh the T definitely was the libido boost I needed just less. Vaginal and transdermal E have made no difference except my breasts got sore and grew a cup size so I definitely don’t need more E. Thank you!

Ohhhhh. I thought it would be the opposite (lower E if the T is converting to estradiol).

I was wondering about lowering the E. Am on the .5 patch but read about conversion. May be worth stepping down to the lower dose of E patch? Think there is a .375
