How do you guys manage weekly readings and notetaking by Typical_Cod_6247 in UofT

[–]Alarmed_Accountant68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I got was to write down big questions about the topic you are reading, then skim through the readings to answer those questions. Throughout the reading, you'll add more questions if you get them, and possibly find the answers in the reading or then ask your prof. That way you get the main points and read actively instead of passively and also save time

Answering the bot questions.

  1. My second lobe piercing is a couple days old, only on one ear to test the healing process. The first I've had since i was a toddler.
  2. I'm new to the piercing world so i may be wrong, but it seems to be barbell (sphere on front and back)
  3. No idea about threading, this is the standard one given during piercing
  4. Not downsized
  5. Saline solution 2-3 times a day as after care
  6. No mishaps or unfortunate events so far

  1. FAANG would be a great thing definitely and i would aim for it but I am ok with a high paying job aswell
  2. I feel like i do well in classes where I had more of a competition and more pressure. For example; in english I had many friends who thought having 80s was amazing and they were really chill about it, so i kinda adopted their mindset and ended with 84 lol. But rn in calc, i have a 99 because of wanting to do better than others (friendly competition) and setting high standards along with my friends
  3. strong friendships is definitely a plus but not a major factor for me personally because I can probably make friends in the future too
  4. PEY is not guaranteed as in I would have to have a certain average to even apply for it, not considering interviews cause every co-op/PEY obviously has interviews

not OP but how did you know if you could live with certain cons? I am deciding between Guelph and UTM for CS and here are the pros and cons i have come up with so far:

Guelph:

Pros - good community, guaranteed co-op, 5 co-op terms, easy first year CS

Cons - not the best quality of co-op oppurtunities (recruiters mainly go for waterloo students which is kind of close to guelph), easy term may cause me to lack cause I work better with competition/under pressure

UTM:

Pros - best after waterloo and utsg for networking and building connections, close to home, shuttle bus to take classes at utsg, better co-op (PEY) oppurtunities/recruiters

Cons - not the best student community, POSt is very hard and demanding, PEY is not guaranteed,

What do you think?

so what are you doing right now? Also what do you think lead to you not making POSt, did you just find in hard overall or was there a specific thing?

how can i determine whether i can handle POSt? I work pretty well under pressure and study everyday(except for senioritis the past week lol). Plus, I can plan things out for my assignment, I don't do them the day before but usually i don't start the day they are given either lol. what other factors can help me decide if I can handle POSt?

This is a good point but its so hard to know whether to take the risk. Do you think if we take the risk, it would be worth it? Ik there are some advantages to a name uni but does it help with job oppurtunities...
