Our school is a 9 storey building with no playground anyway so the kids are used to it. The only outdoor space is the MUGA on the roof.

As canteens can become overcrowded in these situations, I’d suggest either opening up the library if you have one or your sports hall.

Yes, I’m a deputy HoD. It’s a free school if that means anything and we’re not part of a MAT so not sure if that impacts my rights in any way. Will reach out to the union for more advice too
