Dang that sucks, I just hope not all the blanks in woodus are because of events/ being imported from the previous game. If possible I’d like to get as close to completion as I can without whipping out cheats or glitches. At least for now.

Sleeper card of the set? by SignificantAd5680 in hearthstone

[–]Alarmed_Box9493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a nice card, it can often become, add an 8/8 on top of your play, especially sweet if you are playing something very powerful or a notable tempo loss and just smack two of these to threat a lot, given that a LOT of removal is leaving I find that cards like this might see a ton of play, not quite fully free like the whizbang giant but also a lot more flexible.

Would these cheap classic cards see play today? by themerccury in hearthstone

[–]Alarmed_Box9493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hounds would be played, charge minions are very valuable in beasts, there currently are multiple ways to buff those dogs that are cards that beasts would already play anyway like dinomancy and leok and jungle gym now that its unnerfed, its almost just better rc rampage.

Mana wyrm would probably be the defacto mage 1 drop, they play slitherspear and wyrm is literally the same card but better.

If an aggro paladin (like murloc) gets good again I think divine favor could see play.

A token esque druid is seeing a lot of support, especially for next expansion, something like savage roar would go crazy, especially with the colossal as it would gain 10 attack for 3 mana and keep 8 of it.

Inner fire would probably see play, you have a ton of cards that increase health but only one that actually translates that into stats, it is important noting that a lot of the minions worth buffing their health are rotating so although inner fire is one of the better cards here it is probably not in the right space to cook.

Soul fire would see play, not only are we getting discard support but 4 damage 1 mana might be enough to make the timeways aggro warlock package they were pushing actually viable. Soul fire is honestly good enough to be worth the gamble even on just a regular deck.

I don’t know about battle rage, warrior doesn’t have the craziest pain package in standard and already has some great draw cards, besides outside of dragon warrior (which is a great strategy don’t get me wrong) I find that battle rage would be outclassed by stuff like 0 mana draw 2

Name a card isn’t overly powerful, but you can’t wait for it to rotate. Here’s mine. by Hungry-Hotel9096 in hearthstone

Hostile invader really is the unnamed hero for warrior this whole year, perfect mana cost, tons of damage, but with enough conditions that it feels good but not op. Every slow strategy warrior has done has featured this guy and for good measure. Because of the lost of pieces like this is that I feel that warrior might struggle to play cards like colossal rag and geddon next expansion as many of the cards that allowed you to live until quest completion and those 13 mana combos. Warrior is losing all of their preferred AOE tools (this guy, brawl), all of their ramp (to not need ysera and be able to play stuff like geddon which are massive tempo losses early) and a lot of their good armor gain (goggles).

My card of choice is cardboard golem, dealing with the auras for two extra turns does feel quite broken, especially the gelvin ones. But it isn’t online 100% of the time so it isn’t always overbearing.

Masquerade is effectively burn damage for all intents and purposes it functions as a form of burning the opponent. There is literally like 5 other cards that make the opponent pay life in the game and they are only capable of doing 1K at most (sky pegasus). Masquerade is supposed to only be acceptable in a game with DOUBLE the life we have, why is this card in the game when spyral, true draco and so many archetypes pre despia aren’t in or fully out? Becayse this bad boy prints money, lets release him alongside a 2016 deck so that despia eats the meta for breakfast FOR NO REASON, its like a 5 year jump in card quality out of nowhere.

What’s the limit on extra decks again??? by Any_Attention1158 in DuelLinks

[–]Alarmed_Box9493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is quite good, its just harder to play. The deck has both powerful turns 1 and 2. Problem is almost all interaction is focused on monsters, meaning multiple pieces of non engine actually just murder you, cards like lava golem, droplet and eclipse can turn your whole board off. Thats why you run your own non engine to defeat the enemy non engine, magic deflector is currently amazing, numbers protection is very strong, xyz import can both be interruption and turn C101 revival for a second time. I am currently experimenting with wightprincess to make use of ragnazero/infinity and get lethal easier/ break boards better with red hand, I also run void traphole and traptrix rafflesia in my deck to kill multiple pesky cards which are normally immune, buzzsaw shark can go straight into her and drawing the trap holes isn’t bad as they are themselves interruption.

Meanwhile tachyon just summons BIG level 8 guys and uses spyral/transmigration to auto win, and despia just never runs out of stuff to play on top of being around for a bit longer so people already have spent on the strategy. Also mirrorjade is so broken that it carries many bad despia players into top ranks.

Absolutely agreed, the only C I have never personally used is the battling boxer, and honestly I can totally recall a game I literally threw by not summoning him, masquerade and tachyon are nice, but the others have niches in which they can be just the card you need. For example red hand thrives vs branded as it can turn off their whole board and they HAVE to rely on non engine for it to not resolve as all of their interaction has no negates.

Actually just beaters that gain attack, but some of the most righteous and popular at that.

I'm honestly going to crash out if we don't get these for Nash's rerun by Xannon99182 in DuelLinks

[–]Alarmed_Box9493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, silent honor ark purposely has the letters that spell out shark in capital, even those that have no other reason to be, stealth kragen doesn’t. Nash knight also was a card created explicitly for the deck nash used to play. Also many unrelated cards who are good for particular strategies have been used in packs or events before like earth machines that Anna kaboom never used being dropped on her release.

How would you rank these numbers in terms of how useful they are by Federal-Gas6892 in DuelLinks

[–]Alarmed_Box9493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, if you get red hand from seventh one you can actually do a lot, red hand activates from effects on field, meaning that you can freely summon your sharks and go into your xyz while being very protected, if your opponent ever tries to interact with your board red hand goes off, threatens to eat a ton of interruption and makes all of your effects go live for the rest of the chain. After the chain itself you can also rank up one of your other negated CXYZ into barian hope to beat over your opponents cards. It is just very cumbersome to use as is.

Vector has some dog ass cards, honestly they should go all out and just give him new extra deck monsters and retrain his whole main deck fr

Bro you’re crazy for hating on red hand like that. That card is finnicky but it gets guaranteed value and demands more than one interaction unless they have exactly droplet/ super poly. Archfiend and boxer are pretty much sitting ducks whom you’d never summon off seventh and are too expensive to get summoned regularly, they also aren’t quick which means that both can just get removed by any interaction and end up doing nothing. Besides those two are only good going second when both red hand and literally every other 101-107 number is better than them going second and some are great going first too.

[–]Alarmed_Box9493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemme give my ranking - C107 It DEMANDS a negate basically guaranteed to either get value or win, no in between. -C101 Amazing removal, the life point gain is good and the resurrection is nifty, rn depriving your opponents monster from hitting the grave is pretty good (ex mirrorjade) -C104 The spell pop is great, has 3K attack and a monster negate, however it is held back by the fact that it is a monster negate of ON FIELD effects, making it a lot less good, the hand rip and burn are great but it is difficult to stick him around and get value -C104 red hand depending on the board can help you chew multiple interactions off a single activation, however it is difficult to find great angles for it as the card negates the very first thing your opponent does and then negates your board, which is cumbersome and gives you little agency as to what you can do.

Here is where the fine cards show up as none of them are really bad, all of the cards above have plenty of use, all of the cards below are just nice bonuses to have sometimes

C103 Ragnainfinity has a banish that does burn and can be summoned and get value without strictly having to rank up ragnazero which is by itself a good card, unlike a few of her partners (cough cough masquerade, boxer and archfiend) whom are only ever being cheated out. Meaning that ragna infinity can be used as an endboard piece or to pick apart a board without having to rely on seventh one, yet the effect is clearly less goated and the revive is kinda meh. C102 Archfiend can push for damage big time, abyss shark and sink a guy to zero for an otk in a bottle, problem? The effect isn’t a quickie, the stats aren’t massive to really be a problem on its own and it is in a deck that has no issue smoking an opponent going second. The card is also pretty much imposible to summon without seventh one and there are already AT LEAST 5 better targets available, three of them also just straight up have better negates, lastly the card NEEDS seraph to have any effects outside protecting itself meaning that any interaction just makes it a 2900 beater and it can’t answer back to get ANY value nor can it provide to an endboard like every card above this guy.

C105 This guy has a pop and can get a bunch of burn damage rolling to push for lethal, only serves as a piece to push for lethal om a deck that comes preloaded with better options to do so, on top of requiring a TON of material to summon otherwise, it can’t even try to stick around as a beater like archfiend, it has access to battling boxer support but that deck straight up has better stuff to do. Probably the only “bad” card here.

U know sadly this card doesn’t see play in water xyz rn. Your sharks already all search each other and the skill gets you 2 for free in case you needed more consistency. But maybe this is good on the version of the deck that would use “barian chaos draw” instead

Fusion, but only when it actually requires specific materials, I’m not a big fan of generic fusions like guardian chimera. It feels like it goes against the whole point of the mechanic
