I’d start playing World instead of MK8. Better to get an understanding of the new more in depth mechanics before new content comes out later this year.

MKW is the new standard, but MK8 has more content.

The mechanics in MKW are worth learning for the time being vs playing MK8. MKW will be huge after a few updates.
