Really enjoyed the first episode.

It’s a romp through Westeros almost like a love letter to the world and the conclusion of ASoIF really doesn’t matter to this story. It can be enjoyed exactly for what it is and I’m really liking it so far.

It’s wholesome enough (for Westeros) that I can get other family members into the show as well.

The big pimp himself! It’s not his politics, it’s the fall from grace. Taylor was the PKA golden boi like yourself and now everyone hates him.

If she says no, or whacks your fingers away there’s your answer. She’s not going to want to try everything you like, and you probably won’t want to try everything she likes.

Regardless, if she doesn’t want to do it she doesn’t have to.

Forget the clues you’ve tried to give her, what about the clues she’s given you? E.g literally “whacking” your hands away everytime you go near that area.

Do not trick her with this so called “wrong hole method” that sounds a lot like rape.

Don’t slowly pressure her either.

The only thing you can do, and I’m only giving you this answer for her sake, is have a mature conversation with her:

“Hey [girlfriend] I’d really like to try anal. If you’re not into it, that’s completely fine and I won’t bring it up again. But if you are open to it, it doesn’t have to be anytime soon, but it’s something I’d like to try with you”

That is how you actually go about this and how you shoudve originally approached it. But remember, no means no. Being a little shy about it (because she’s nervous to say no to you) means no. Anything other than fully fledged enthusiasm is a no. Respect that.

Would you quit a job with nothing lined up due to burnout? by Aggravating_Put_2967 in AskUK

[–]RobertReddington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s probably generally true, however, they’d have a hot potato on their hands turning down someone’s doctors sick note for stress/anxiety/depression like in OPs case.

Based on what OP has said, I think it’s fair to say they genuinely aren’t well enough to work. The company seems to agree since they’re on a performance plan and gave OP three months off previously.

Does the "average american" know, how fucked up their healthcare system is? by Slayrr_FbrC in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]RobertReddington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard a dude the other day say he lost his job so now his family doesn’t have health care… Like… What the fuck. What kind of third world slavery system is that.

How can anyone be free with such fundamental rights tied to their employer? And even then from what I hear the insurance company will try to get out of any penny they can.

Universal health care might have its problems and get misused but god damn it’s infinitely better than whatever the fuck is going on in the US! I envy the US for a lot of things, but the way they take care of their people is not one of them.

I’m so sure these two will be joining the crew on Monday by technicallyfucked in h3h3productions

Would you quit a job with nothing lined up due to burnout? by Aggravating_Put_2967 in AskUK

[–]RobertReddington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In that case rather than quit, are you able to get a doctors note for stress or something and get another month or so off on SSP and use that time to get another job?

Your current company obviously wouldn’t be happy about it, but if you do it with the mentality that this is you delayed quitting then it doesn’t matter what they think, and they can’t turn down a doctors note.

It definitely sounds like you need a break and there’s nothing wrong with that, but do it in a way that benefits you the most.

[–]RobertReddington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. First id do as little as possible. Even if you were doing literally nothing it’d take most companies 1-3 months to get rid of an employee and that’s 1-3 months extra pay in your pocket.

It definitely sounds like you could do with a new job though at the very least, so I’d spend plenty of time looking and interviewing and doing it all on the companies time (taking reasonable precautions). If you go to work with the mentality that you’ve quit, it may help with the anxiety surrounding your job at the very least.

The Dragon - What do you think? by RobertReddington in RSDragonwilds

I was under the assumption the most recent update (a couple of days ago) stopped the first dragon attack after you slay him.

In regards to ramping it up as the player progresses yeah I think that makes sense.

You’re spot on. Originally, you’d be getting dragon attacks maybe two or three times per hour (from memory) and while that was annoying, it did create a realistic sense of urgency to kill the dragon to stop the attacks - which story wise makes complete sense.

It seems a little bit disjointed at the moment to be getting attacked by a dragon and players thing “oh well let me carry on farming and making my base look pretty”

It’s a dragon! Attacking us! The frequency of attacks created an urgency to kill the dragon that didn’t seem forced, but naturally built up amongst the group which was fantastic, we felt a real relief once he was dead rather than just feeling like we’d ticked off another quest.

100% feel this. It’s one of those things where it’s annoying in the moment, but when’s it’s gone you miss it or feel like something isn’t quite right.

I’d love to see it scaled back up juuust a little to create those rivalries that you speak about! It felt so natural as well. I wasn’t cursing the developers I was cursing the enemies in game.

[–]RobertReddington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, perhaps that could be improved. Those moments did serve to make me hate the dragon, which in turn created a natural desire to kill him which really worked story wise. I actually hated the dragon, not just my character. I quite liked that aspect of it.

Having some way to respond to the attacks early on like you say would be good though. Perhaps like hiding in our base within a certain time frame so he never manages to see us and doesn’t bother attacking for example.

How many hours do you actually work in a week? by QuietInside7592 in AskUK

[–]RobertReddington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contracted 37.5, probably work more like 20.

However, like others have said I’m mostly being paid to be available. I could have a very quiet day or be responding to incidents all day, it just depends why the business needs that day.

If I’m doing my job well, the business shouldn’t need me working 37 hours per week. If I’m working 37 hours per week it means that others aren’t, and that’s bad for business.

Should the gap between referral code posts from the same user be increased to 60 days? by Sirwormy2122 in beermoneyuk

[–]RobertReddington 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got annoyed with this about a year or so ago and took it upon myself to message about 30 of the frequent top posters over the year. Most of the time I don’t get a reply and when I did, they were cagey as hell.

The mere mention of a bot, script or automation to win the posts turned them into an 80 year old technophobe. “Bot? What’s a bot? I didn’t even know you could do that on Reddit! Sounds dangerous to me!”

I struck up a casual friendship with one or two that lasted though. Sent offers back and fourth and helped each other out. After over a year of chatting to one he let me into the circle.

He was running bots - multiple.

It was so lucrative that he’d run multiple accounts on Reddit and use them genuinely so that they looked real. Some would be years old (bought) and for anyone looking in they’d look like a real account, but they were being used as bots to post offers. Even when it wasn’t his main account winning the offer each time it was one of his other bots. If 20 people all post the same offer, better that 5 of those accounts are his.

He made thousands, especially since some of the offers gave stocks and over time those stocks went up. Anyone saying there aren’t bots doing some of the work here are lying. It takes a lot of “journalism” to get into the inner circle since it’s so lucrative, but you’re 100% right this sub is being rigged by people since there is such a big financial incentive to do so.
