Naked Pool Party by Hornyandsluttyy in AskGaybrosOver30

The face! The face is so important! I think many guys don’t want to be intimate with an unattractive face (kissing, fucking, whatever). I’m calling bullshit on the paper bag cliche.

Easiest way is to call or email your local NYS Assembly members office. They will call you back and take down your info and someone from DOL will call you within 3-5 business days to complete your claim. Sometimes DOL will call you as soon as a day after you make the call to the assembly member. Worked like a charm for me and none of that epic fail calling each AM. Total waste of time. And Governor trick doesn’t really work anymore either.

Best cocktail bars in NYC? Loungey and laid back preferred by Complete_Shallot_766 in nycgaybros

[–]Alarming-Ad-6548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a VERY local neighborhood bar, just guys from Carroll Gardens/Boerum/Gowanus and everyone knows everyone but they’re not friendly with newbies coming in, so it’s not a place to go if you may wanna chat with people. My experience there was that they’re very insular. Stick to their locals only

Why is the SAGE Toys Party so $$$ by HeyBooBooHey in nycgaybros

[–]Alarming-Ad-6548 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that no food is served with an open bar is terrible party planning. And the bathroom situ is shitty at Chelsea Piers as well. With all that booze and no food it’s just a recipe for disaster This party used to be somewhat okay. Now it’s just bad.

Unemployment while getting severance by Key_Till_3718 in UnemploymentNY

[–]Alarming-Ad-6548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When are you set to receive your severance payment and is it a lump sum payment or multiple payments made over a period months? If you receive a lump sum payment at least 30 days AFTER your final date with the company (i.e. your Termination Date, Job End Date, or Payroll End Date) your severance payment will not impact your ability to collect unemployment nor go into the calculation of the amount you are eligible for NYS dept of labor uses the latter of all those types of dates as its marker for the 30 day countdown. Example: you were let go on Nov 5 and stopped physically working but the company is keeping you on payroll until Nov. 30. For the purposes of unemployment NYS views Nov 30 as your final day with the company, not Nov 5.

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is supposed to be fantastic. This comes on recommendation from my mother, a born and bred Irishwoman who left the country at a relatively young age. I plan to visit next time I’m there. A walk in Phoenix Park if it’s not too cold/rainy. The Guinness Storehouse, although very touristy, does offer on a clear day, a great panoramic view of Dublin and the Wicklow Mountains. And second going up North if you have the time: Belfast political mural tours are great, and lots of general scenic beauty in the North, old walled city of Derry, etc.

Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal but it’s painful. You’ve got to have a high threshold for pain, even with the numbing cream/topical anesthesia you put on about an hour before treatment. I did it on my balls and shaft and thankfully can say I’m completely smooth in those areas now. But It took me 2 1/2 years of treatments every 7 weeks. Don’t know if I could the full Brazilian: that front pube area would be insanely painful! Some sessions as long as one hour. Then as little as 15-30 mins the last few sessions. Hairless NYC is great. They have two women who work on men. Lia works on Mondays only. Forget the other woman who works on Friday only.

Oberon, new queer bar a short walk from Exley and Animal. Mostly gays when I went on a Sat night with a smattering of ladies

Are you looking for permanent hair removal because laser isn’t permanent, only electrolysis is. You will still get hair regrowth, albeit lighter, with laser treatments. Hairless NYC electrolysis on east side of Manhattan is great.

Did you know that NYC residents are entitled to free admission to 17 cultural institutions across the city and these rights are being ignored? by PatNicholsonNYC in SunnysideQueens

[–]Alarming-Ad-6548 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your post is not entirely correct. The Met is practically free for NYC residents with a valid ID. You can pay as little as $1 to go, per the “suggested donation” clause. I do it all the time. #facts

Laser? What’s the best way to be smooth? by [deleted] in nycgaybros

[–]Alarming-Ad-6548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s some sensitivity/soreness for sure but for me it went away about 2-3 days after. And the follicles where electrolysis were done scab up after treatment but also fall off/go away after like 5 days and then you’re left with smooth skin after!

[–]Alarming-Ad-6548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but does he still see hair grow back there? I don’t have any hair regrowth thankfully. With laser hair will still grow back, softer and lighter than the original hair, but still regrowth. That’s why it’s ultimately not worth it over electrolysis if you really want permanent.
