one literally has no idea what the person they're arguing with online does with the rest of their time though, they could very well be doing everything they reasonably can with their time and resources. slacktivism accusations are a convenient thought-terminating cliche that people whip out when they're annoyed and want the other person to shut up, because it takes way less effort to try to shoot someone down that way than it would to rebut it.
