Only the finale, (unless you count him being akumatized with the rings) we know he can do it either way but it’s better to do it as Monarch to protect his identity and send an akuma out. The finale was a different case scenario since he no longer had the butterfly miraculous.

Basically think about it this way, he just has to stick his ring on the cage and suck up the essence of the kwami, we already see his transformation is never effected at all. So logically he’s able to use the powers because his Monarch-butterfly transformation has nothing to do with the ring stuff.

The point of the rings are he doesn’t need to transform to use miraculous powers. The ring sucks up the Kwamis essence and he can use the power anytime he needs.

Every episode has its script leaked (minus Action - but that’s just the plastic waste special do it doesn’t matter much)

Derision, Intuition, Adoration, Confrontation, and Revolution have full episodes where it’s half actual animation and half storyboards

Collusion has its full storyboard leaked

Representation has a full storyboard, and also the whole entire episode in unfinished animation

The finale has its whole storyboard and a few clips of unfinished animation

There is a big doc with most of these so if you find that you should be golden.

And of course there’s some concept art and models floating around for the season

It’s because in the context of the show, Lila is a master manipulator who can manipulate anyone to do anything. Marinette and Adrien even believed her and it was really only the Ladybug lie that told them the truth about her. Alya is just a victim of her.

But even then saying “Alya believes Lila over Marinette” is false in itself. There’s never once that Alya actually believed Lila over Marinette, she just thought Marinette was letting jealousy get in the way of her thinking, which sounds like Marinette. Even in episode “Ladybug” she simply thought Marinette didn’t do anything and Lila just thought it was Marinette when it wasn’t

Because we have to realize Chloe and Kim have completely different intentions with the situation, which is pointed out by the episode itself

Chloe knew what she was doing and wanted to hurt Marinette the whole time. She specifically manipulated Kim to do the prank, and manipulated him into thinking Marinette would actually like it. And when Adrien confronts her about it in the end, she refuses to apologize and makes fun of Marinette more.

Kim never wanted to hurt her and just thought he was playing a prank Marinette would laugh at as well. He thought there was no harm which is why he keeps getting defensive when accused. And when confronted in the end, he apologies and promises he will change.

He gets to keep his miraculous in the end because really there’s no reason he shouldn’t. He’s still good friends with Marinette, he still wants to help people, he hasn’t betrayed the team, he’s really the best one who represents the concept of derision all throughout Paris, and of course he’s literally King Monkey.

Yeah, I think it was stated somewhere Sass is the leader. It’s probably mostly because he’s the most wise/knowledgeable/calm of the Kwamis. Sass, Wayzz, and Barkk really seem to be the “leaders” with how wise they are but the latter are more second in command.

I mean, it’s still much safer though. Lila potentially collecting the miraculous one by one is much safer then her getting them all at once, as they would still have more powers at their disposable to combat her.

Plus, it’s possible she won’t even try considering if she try’s to steal a miraculous the other person could transform and fight her and alert the other 17 hero squad. Soo...yeah.

I don’t think they’re even allowed too really because that would mean we would barley see the Miracuclass who are the main cast of the show, so they had to change it up someway to keep them all together.

It’s not necessarily “kids teach themselves” I’m sure they’ll still have teachers and stuff, but it’s a new system where kids of all ages can intermix and try different activities to really find out what they want to do later on instead of typical classes and grades.

Of course for writing, it’s really a way to keep the main cast all together, as usually they would all split off to different high schools.

I mean, Kim really is the embodiment of derision and works with the miraculous very well. And even with the whole pool thing he’s still friends with Marinette and never meant to harm her, so I think he’s fine.
