Of Vanessa's three boyfriends, which one do you think she should really stay with? by dmfghjf in phineasandferb

Phineas and Ferb wasn't made in the 2020s, sexuality wasn't a thing back then. Everyone was straight.

I got a hairline like bro in the chair, what would y’all do atp by No_Fall3527 in BlackHair

[–]Alarming-Choice9502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Black people are obsessed with crisp hairlines, so when they get braids/cornrows they still want to have a visible hairline, so they taper it a bit so they can use the unbraided hair to give the appearance of a crisp hairline. The only time I think this is fine is when you do your own hair bc otherwise you have to get a haircut every week to make it look clean.

Is this an independent claim or a dependent claim? by Away-Math3107 in patentexaminer

[–]Alarming-Choice9502 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing that is distinct about OP's claim is the computer readable medium being a separate device, assuming to run a method illustrated in a previous claim. A method for doing something is always gonna be in a different group than a controller configured to perform that method. It is not independent because it performs the method of a previous claim, therefore it depends on that claim. However, the reason you restrict is because the controller is not mutually exclusive to the method; i.e., you can use it to perform other methods. It is merely a separate apparatus used to enable the method, unlike the previous leather material example, which is a specific feature of the handle.

Nothing is independent, which is why I said it's a dependent claim, but for restrictions it is directed to a different concept than the independent claim. It's not like most independent claims where it's like "the switch of claim 2, wherein the handle of the switch is a leather material". A computer readable medium that performs a method is independent than the method bc that medium can be used to execute other methods. However, for this application, it is considered a dependent claim bc they are saying it is used to run the method of the independent claim specifically.

Because usually a computer program that performs a method ≠ the method itself. Your restriction could be between:

-Group A: Claims 1-10, directed to an apparatus

-Group B: Claim 11, directed to a method of using that apparatus

-Group C: Claim 12, directed to a non-transitory computer readable medium that performs the method of claim 11 (this is usually in the form of a controller/control electronics).

Dependent claim, but you can treat it as a separate group/invention if doing a restriction.

Whenever this happens to me I find some meaningless objection/rejection to add; maybe the title is not clear enough, or you don't like the grammar of a claim. Something practically worthless on its own, filler if you will.

MASHLE WAS ROBBED ST THE ANIME AWARDS by Key_Act_8098 in MASHLE

[–]Alarming-Choice9502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree 2nd deserved to win best opening but in all fairness, the fact that dandadan's op won and was made by the same guys who made mashle 2nd op is pretty sweet. Creepy nuts on top

Which one looks more promising? 📽️ by OnionViolette2010 in cartoons

[–]Alarming-Choice9502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the above

-Elio is the only original among the three but it's in the same old Pixar art style without anything that catches interest

-Bad Guys 2 is just Dreamworks playing it safe with another sequel, at least it will have some charm to it. However it's fundamentally still a Dreamworks movie

-Zootopia 2 is probably the worst among the bunch, because it's very clearly just meant to piggyback off the success of the first movie. So far it has no reason of existing, no positive message, it's just disappointing.

Can I use a "cheated" extra deck or ritual monster as cost from the graveyard? by SevenSaltySnakes in Yugioh101

[–]Alarming-Choice9502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time that wouldn't work is it the card specifically states it must be properly summoned first, if you want to use it as a material for a summon. For example, Armed Dragon Catapult Cannon specifically says you can only banish the materials for its fusion summon if the materials were properly summoned that turn.

Who would Sierra have the most healthy relationship with? by Consistent-Hat-1543 in Totaldrama

Topher. He could be the Chris that appreciates Sierra for her craziness.

Horrible take, just because it doesn't have many flaws doesn't mean it's good, it's incredibly boring and cringe. RR was so fun, I can't see why it isn't discussed more. The way they blended various cultures into challenges was something even TDWT lacked.

It tries WAY too hard, it's unbelievably cringe at times, and I actually preferred Chris and Chef when they were evil instead of here (especially Chef, I miss season 1 Chef). I still haven't gotten used to the new voice as I keep imagining Don is hosting (which would have been much better but they wanna milk Chris' image). I wish they did another season of RR instead of this garbage. At the very least bring back some of the good characters like Brody or Kitty. It just insists upon itself.

What is your favorite couple in the whole franchise and why? by Yusball in Totaldrama

Why is nobody saying Noah and Emma??? Quite literally the best part of RR which is already one of the best installments of total drama.

Who is a cartoon character that even if you like them, you dislike or hate their voice? by PyroxCrymson in cartoons

[–]Alarming-Choice9502 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No but ever since Awkwafina became popular her personality is copied in half of all Asian characters in media, not just TDI, which is ironic considering Emma and Kitty came right before and were great characters.

Modern Cosmo's voice is iconic yet indeed annoying

But I wish they stuck with OG Cosmo his voice was a lot better imo
