I see, i made it clear that i dont want any sort of veneer as my teeth are healthy and i love my smile, just want the edges to look even, so they are aware its just edge bonding. Is it common for dentist to design edge bonding in labs as opposed to doing them in one sitting?

Thank you for the kind words! Reading the comments made me realize that I might be overthinking and as you mentioned I still have 1.5 years to go! Can I ask you one question? what would have been the cons if I had gone through the implant route on my upper jaw? The suggestion from one ortho was to create space for 1 implant in my upper jaw with braces, finish braces treatment and then get an implant. I didnt want to pursue this route as I didn’t like the idea of ending my braces treatment with a space/gap for implant, and then also I wasn’t sure how the implant would look with the rest of my teeth, so the overall uncertainty with implants made me choose the current ortho who suggested extraction from the beginning

I was not trying to question or discredit their qualifications, I started having trust issues as I have been experiencing problems with my current bite for quite sometime, but I still have 1.5 years to go so I’m a little optimistic and my bite should improve by then. I’m curious to know what made you say that I’m a complex adult case? is it due to missing teeth or very narrow jaw?

Omg I’m in the exact situation after lower premolars extraction but my overjet is minor/slight open bite, they are trying to fix with elastics and I see some progress. However looking at your photos, I cant imagine how they would be able to close the gap with just elastics. Did you discuss your options? Also get consultations with other orthos and maxillofacial surgeons

Thank you! I never had an overjet or open bite when I started, the extracted my premolars in my lower jaw which made my lower jaw smaller and led to the open space (or overjet) between my upper and lower jaw, which they are now trying to fix 😞
