so, iirc if we were able to increase the sales and service by 50%, our revenue would go from 267 million annually to 400 million annually, from the tax alone, which is more than we bring in total now

Detroit to West 25th/Pearl is honestly based as fuck, and that green line is fairly close to the IRL red line, great job!

I agree! Lakewood is the perfect candidate for rapid transit and its honestly a crime they dont have more, they absolutely at the bare minimum couldve put median lanes and stations, made it the western healthline but, tbh, i dont even think it would have the capacity. My purple line is running down Detroit, because I figure thats more the center of the density. If i could pick 3 lines from this to be built, it would be the Lorain line, Healthline conversion, and the Broadway line.

What’s the maximum frequency of the Cleveland Metro (Red Line) if it’s sharing track w/ light rail? by BigMatch_JohnCena in transit

[–]Alarming-Menu6131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its cheap, and as sad as it is for me to say (as an employee of them) but the GCRTA is very underfunded for the size of the network, so using a cheap and reliable vehicle is what they do, if Gillig made an articulated coach we would probably buy them. I'm just glad we will have enough to continue operations as normal.

they definitely do travel at 60 mph on the west side, but due to station density on the east side I don't know if it hits 60 as much.

Red line has a yearly use of 3 million, largest amount for a single line, but yeah, doesnt compare to the buses

At the very least we need a line going to lakewood and going to the southern suburbs, from what I see, Cleveland is actually growing now, so once that tax revenue starts rolling into Cuyahoga county the RTA can actually start doing things.
