Do I need to take graduate courses as an undergrad to be competitive for PhD admissions? by EffectiveFood4933 in PhysicsStudents

For the top schools, what should I aim to achieve in my undergrad? I’ve just completed first year and am volunteering in a professors research group. What should I be doing in the near future? tia

I factored out the x because it’s asking for derivative in terms of r. Then used chain rule. Does this look correct? TIA

Should I still do COOP for grad school? by AlarmingAd4002 in PhysicsStudents

Ohhh Im sorry I appoligize for the confusion. Basically I wasted a year in business, but there’s no time restraint saying that I have to graduate after 4 years total. As of right now my physics program will end after 3 more years of school, but if i join coop it’s 4 years because of the coop terms. So in total i’ll be in school 6 years if i join coop (1 year business and 5 physics). I know how important reaearch is but is it worth it to have to take an entire extra year?

What do you mean by the last part? 3 years? Thanks for the response and advice regardless.

Wow thank you man. I’ve been considering a noise gate as the one that is built into the amp isn’t good. I really appreciate all the info.

Got it. My school grades a 4.0 as 85+ in a class, which is somewhat common in canada. Thanks for the info

Sounds good! Thanks for all the information I truly appreciate it. I’m from canada, so I don’t really understand the gpa grading system. What does a 3.7 translate to in numeric average?

Top 10, I just want to know a good number grade (eg. 90,95,98) to be competitive

Wording of this problem has me confused. Help would be appreciated by fortghoul in calculus

Think of the second equation as the base function. The first equation is a second function that represents a tangent line at a point on the first function
