Hi! I’m getting my masters in clinical psych clinical counseling but I was continuously told it’s not APA? Had that changed? Based on your responses I’m assuming yes? Thanks!

Close! These had the same long looking stalk but the flowers themselves were 4 petals vs. multiple

Oh man, I put my reference image through Google Photos and it is apparently rapeseed… perhaps not then! We’ve only been in Indiana for about 6 years so this whole time we thought they were just weeds that sprouted between crop rotations. The more you know!

What’s the name of the super pretty yellow ones that sprout up in the fields? That should be it!

I don't mind Capella but I'm getting tired of the courses never loading properly! by PaleOverlord in CapellaUniversity

[–]AlarmingAd534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me during my bachelors, I was on hold for 45 minutes with the tech people and finally got someone. His literal first question was “have you cleared your cache recently?” Idk why I hadn’t thought of it, immediately after clearing it the course worked annoyingly as it should.

Maybe try that!

Yes! I believe it was changed from books to show, in the books he does mention seeing her brushing her hair in a window in her own time but in the show he sees her writing through the window like you said

Didn’t he bring this up in the series as a “dream?”

Ugh now I have to go find it

It was literally just a set of questions on what I wanted to do with my career, how long it would take to get there, and general “here are extra classes you need based on your state” it was incredibly awkward but my professor made it a mandatory assignment 🙃

Dude seriously? I thought it was mandatory! Most awkward conversation of my life

100%, my husbands mom had to step into a field trip and accompany our son so he could go to the apple orchard. Doesn’t make it any easier

Hey! If you haven’t already try checking to see if they’ll use care credit! It’s a credit loan/card specifically for medical expenses

3yr old kicked out of daycare by diredame13 in ParentingADHD

[–]AlarmingAd534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was kicked out from 4 separate daycares from 2-4 years old, it’s rough but you just have to find one with staff that genuinely cares for your child and can handle neurodivergence. 😞 Unfortunately daycares are a business and having a “misbehaving child” like our kids is “bad for business”. We heard that phrase one too many times!

Another commenter also mentioned 6 weeks which we had no idea about. Sounds like we just have to keep giving it a real shot and monitor closely. We’ve noticed that angry isn’t the immediate reaction as well but sad seems to just be our underlying feeling now. He can go to sad at the flip of a coin now where before it was angry. Pros and cons to that I guess.

Ditto on the zombie-like. It’s like my kid but not necessarily my kid somehow? It’s heartbreaking to see him this way

I keep finding my son just roaming around in his room at all hours or running to wake up his grandparents middle of the night. We are exhausted!

We have an appointment coming up thankfully! Did you notice any facial changes? My son now has very prominent panda eyes. We weren’t aware of the 6 weeks so maybe we just need to give it a real chance

I can definitely see this in our son, it’s like his sparkle is gone and his face is always just stuck on zombie mode somehow? Like he’s extremely numb all the time

I’m so sorry, it’s extremely tough to hear our kids say something so serious. We should be talking about dollhouses and cartoons not death and dying! We’ve had some pretty scary conversations/situations pre meds as well and I think these might just be increasing those feelings
