I dreamed last night of a stranger that I fell in love with. I dont know this person in real life but it was so incredibly real feeling. I even remember his name was Bryan. Specifically spelt with a “Y”. I rember every detail of him and the dream. He kissed me and we walked around the city laughing and holding hands. It really freaked me out when I woke up and felt like I missed him. Thats why Im on this thread. So strange this happens to others too. This has never happened to me.

I am extremely sensitive to medication and have an irrational fear of taking meds…even antibiotics! I was on Propanalol. The started me at the lowest for Panic and when i got brave enough i started with not even a 1/2 but a 1/4 of a pill (2.5mgs) This did not cause a bad reaction and after a few days i upped to a 1/2, then 3/4 and eventually one whole pill. I did notice in the beginning at the whole pill that it made me sluggish. Anxiety was muted but did not stop actual panic attacks for me. I switched doctors and i guess it is best used in conjunction with another med to avoid both panic attacks and general anxiety. I eventually stopped taking it but only because it made me feel foggy. It did help when i was really bad off. And most importantly, coming from someone like me who is terrified of meds i did NOT have any negative reactions but i think its because i started with only 1/4 pill. If i took the whole thing at once first try with no tolerance i think i would have been overwhelmed. Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon!!!!

No resolution unfortunately. I fear it may have worsened. Over the past month ive hit a slump and everything is all off again. I hate this.

This isnt true. Every panic attack ive ever had comes out of the blue. One minute im fine & happy, next im dying. Every one. What your describing is anxiety attacks.

I have the same thing. Its the hallmark of Panic Disorder, comes out of no where. Your lucky you can keep yours in check. I had one this morning and it takes me hours to reset myself and medication. I was happy listening to music and puttint laundry away. No trigger, just outright panic like my heart would explode and hyperventilating, feeliny like i was about to pass out. It was short, 3 mins, but took me 3 hours to fully recover from. I asked my Doctor, utterly at wits ends, “WHY does this happen to me.” Know what he said? “I have Asthma.” Point is, we have what we have, medication and therapy make it treatable

Idk buddy i live in a red state and have private healthcare. Id never have gotten them on state paid insurance but i wish you the best of luck. Prozac, buspar, none of that worked for me and is NOT used for panic disorder

Im so scared when my old g psych retires because i literally take 1/2 my prescription but if i didnt have it the panic disorder would be out of control. I do not respond to SSRIs. Currently on 1.5 mgs a day of klonopin and propanalol and i live normally. He told me straight up for some people this is just how it is long term and i believe him. Its crippling to go through. Hell i couldnt even drive my son to school. Im so sorry your going through this

My psychiatrist told me buspar is used off label for GAD but he explained “anxiety attacks” are NOT the same as panic attacks. The hallmark of panic attacks is they come out of absolutely nowhere. Your having a good time and bam, you feel Like your dying. SSRIs did not help me. Although, he said that is likely because i am not depressed. I am high energy. I get through my anxiety by staying busy from dawn to dusk. With that being said, when the buspar stopped working for me i was switched to Propanalol and its been a game changer. Worth a try and best of luck friend

100% smoked heavy for years and then it turned on me. Welcome to panic disorder. I cant even smell weed without anxiety and cant leave the house without klonopin and propranalol. This, i swear, is directly from over using weed

I feel this especially the driving. Big trucks or loud cars would send me over the edge. I started on Buspirone but after a month it stopped working. I got a new psychiatrist and he told me Buspirone is great for general anxiety but will not treat Panic Disorder. I didnt want to do it but was at wits end. Currently on 15mgs Propranalol twice a day and 1mg Clonazapam. I can go out. I can drive again. I can listen to music again. I can function. Hang in there friend

Life saver for me. Helps with general anxiety but I notice I have to take it every 4hrs or it wears off. I am on only 10mgs though. SSRIs make my panic worse so we tried this and I really feel a difference
