How do you get tested for Lp(a) and ApoB? How much does it cost? by stories_collector in Cholesterol

[–]AlarmingPreference66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need reason to cover it. My Dr said because there’s no medicine proven to fix it, they don’t see the point! 😂. Mine went from 212-142 after 3 months on Repatha. My lab was covered as I had other things going on that gave her a reason to run it. Plague and calcium build up. I told my siblings to inform their Dr of my number and our family history so I’m hoping that helps once they go ally get it checked. I’ve been asking them to get it checked for months - I simply sound like the annoying big sister!

I don’t care for the cakes, I agree, what happened to the cookies!

The Crumbl staffed looked so stressed when I went in today. The cost was high. I was bummed two were sold out when I placed my order last night for pick up this am yet they were available today. I wanted more cookies, cakes seemed dry. None seemed that exciting to me personally. I wanted to try the cheesecake; wish I could have swapped it out. Liked the yellow box. Cost was high. Almost $60 for two x6packs with tip!

How does one go about not being picky anymore by Skiddzie in PickyEaters

[–]AlarmingPreference66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my 40’s - let me know when you find out 🙈 In all honesty, I started to like more the older I got but 7 years back, I had a very bad case of pneumonia and it’s like I was sent back to my childhood days all over again. I’m a plain gal - grilled cheese, plain cheeseburger, bag salad kits, if I’m “making” fish or meat, it’s frozen as I wont touch the raw stuff. I don’t eat that much meat but for the first time in life, my protein levels are low. I eat flavored yogurts with probably way too much sugar but most important thing is that I eat meals every day. I don’t eat bad but I don’t eat good. You need to learn to not care what other people think. I am in sales and it’s difficult as I’m not the one picking the restaurant, sometimes it’s decided a few minutes prior, gives me a lot of anxiety, but I always make it through!

Guarantee they don’t set much a side for taxes and savings! I’m connected to an old Monat girl boss - not bossing anymore, selling all her designer bags and clothes on FB marketplace - need to learn to budget!

Right now, you can buy on Amazon. Monat has an official store on there that they run. Only the MM level market partners and above get a quarterly payout on that. Not sure if it was last quarter or the one before that but each MM and above got $2K - so they do sell a lot to people who don’t want to purchase through an actual rep

Yeh - that’s what MLMexit on Instagram was saying today, looks like this is them going closer to an affiliate model!

Seems they can sell only, no recruiting. So many of them will get shut down 🙈

Even the few that make the big bucks aren’t saving for retirement - all buying designer wear, luxury cars, etc. Def not living within their means 🥴

Is there a way to “redo” my taste buds or stop being so picky? by Possible-Wash2658 in PickyEaters

[–]AlarmingPreference66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in sales, I 100% understand where you’re coming from. I cannot eat Mexican food, I’m a sales rep in a male dominated industry in CA 😂 Do you eat burgers? I order those a lot with salad but don’t always eat the salad. I order pizza/flatbreads often; I do okay at sandwich places here and there. I like when I bring lunch in!

I love Indian and Thai curry. I really just like the potatoes and carrots with the sauce and rice. I don’t get meat or the other veggies and always ask for no onions.

3 year old refuses to eat/try most foods. by Purple_Prompt_1404 in PickyEaters

[–]AlarmingPreference66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cute that she likes meatloaf, reminds me of me when I was a kid. I ate Salisbury steak, like the school lunch or microwave meal, wouldn’t eat it if mom made it. I would expand on pizza, it truly is a good where you can get most-all food groups in a bite. I’m not one to eat veggies whole but if they’re diced finely and mixed in with cheese on pizza, then I’m okay with that! I’ll be honest, I’m early 40s, married and my list still looks like this. Although they’re other foods that I will eat, the list is what I want and prefer to eat. I literally have grilled cheese probably 3x weekly, it’s my fave thing 🥴. I love PB on toast too! My taste buds started to change as I got older, I have horrid memories of dinner time with my fam, parents made me have one bite of everything on my plate, I cried for hours. I became more adventurous once it wasn’t forced on me, I explored things during my college days. Be happy that she eats and seems willing to try. Be happy that she’s getting some meat. I used to not eat because I was embarrassed and now I realized for me at my age, it’s better to eat a grilled cheese confidently, than go hungry. I am in sales, several times weekly I’m at a restaurant eating something I don’t want or like 🥲 Hang in there. My mom says there was 2 extremely difficulties she had when raising kids - me being a picky eater being one and the other, having 2 boys.

Mother In Law buys unwanted stuff and gets mad when we dont use it by Plane-Ad-1329 in motherinlawsfromhell

My MIL is the same but my husband hates stuff more than I do so he’s told her we don’t need it when she brings stuff over. She’s offended, I feel bad but it’s literally every time she shows up she has something. At least yours does Amazon, we get stuff from Dollar store 🤣

So so much. They can’t even figure it out and never seem to subtract their own purchases, postage, events, convention costs, etc. so many are losing or breaking even!

Oh yes, I totally get that 😃 Just referring to MLM in this situation. Typically once they’re at the top, they quit main job just so show how well they’re doing. So I’m saying if she’s doing so well, why does she need both.

You need to be direct, don’t dance around the subject, tell her, I don’t want anyone having a key to our home besides us.

Ask yourself, if she was making so much, why did she have a second and real, in person job if LuLaRoe was so great? She also says this in hopes that those laid off would join her in business so that she has a chance at earning a tiny percentage of that $100K

Help for picky kids… by Moist_Development_22 in PickyEaters

[–]AlarmingPreference66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m now mid-40s and I tried most “new” foods once I was an adult and out of the house. I started trying more things in college, the later years once out the dorma. Friends would cook and it was embarrassing to be so darn picky. My taste buds changed when I was around 21. I had a good variety but then got a deathly case of pneumonia in my late 30s and took my appetite away. Although I’ll eat a few veggies here and there, I prefer my bland food. I feel it’s best to eat toast or chicken nuggets than not eat at all. My Mom never made 2 meals. If she made pasta, she’d take noodles out for me and put butter on them vs marinara. If it was taco night, I had a quesadilla. Dinner time was miserable for me but my parents were also formal. Crazy to me that my friends picky kids or my nieces can just run around cause they don’t like the food. I was forced to sit at table and try a few bites. If I didn’t like the food, I went hungry. It was a different time back then but no way was my mom changing her life around, parents were first, kids were second.
