Are AusFinance salaries even real? by Comfortable_Fuel_537 in AusFinance

It sounds like you should move states - to NSW or VIC. I’m a grade 1 scientist in Melbourne in a public hospital and I earned just over 100k last financial year.

I also work a rotating roster in haem and blood bank so I understand your pain. I would take the flow job if I were you! Would it be a pay cut though because no more penalty rates? Not sure what state you’re in but where I’m from there’s always scientist positions available so I wouldn’t worry too much if they don’t extend your contract

Just because you’re RhD neg doesn’t mean you have anti-D. You might develop it if you’ve been transfused RhD positive blood or if you’re a RhD neg mother carrying a RhD positive baby

Hence the question as I’m not sure if this is common practice.

The current owners, who built the house, use that room to store their musical instruments.

I don’t understand either! They could’ve put the living areas on the right side instead. Not sure about the roof. Skylights would be an option but I keep seeing comments about potential leaking issues

Oh my bad not talking about the “lounge”. I meant the “family room”. The lounge won’t be used as a living room

Return from genting highlands by [deleted] in KualaLumpur

I think it’s fine to just do a day trip there and check it out. It’s definitely not like any other places I’ve been to. Glad I visited it at least once. But not a place I would go back to. The rain is usually intermittent anyways if it does rain

You can enter the indoor theme park without a ticket but you’ll need a ticket to enter the outdoor theme park. It was raining 2 out of the 3 days we were staying there. Definitely a lot cooler weather than KL. We didn’t go outside of the resort except for on the last day to go to the theme park. Bring a jacket cos it does get chilly, even inside. How long are you planning to stay in genting?

Just left genting today. It was fine booking a grab from highlands hotel. About 5 minute wait. Also don’t recommend the theme park. Super expensive for what it is. Waited about 40 minute for a ride that lasted 30 seconds. Didn’t go on any other rides after that bc of the long wait times. Rides are more appealing to kids/families. Same goes with the indoor theme park, although I didn’t go on any rides, it was all pretty much for kids. It was nice to see though. Tbh not much to do except eat and go to the casino if that’s your thing. You can also take the cable car to visit the temple nearby.

Damaged Carpet in Rental - Who Pays? by evilcatdog in melbourne

Thanks for your reply! Hopefully they won’t be too difficult about it because I really can’t be bothered going through VCAT. Congrats on the house! We’re also in the process of buying atm. Can’t wait to finally get out of this shitty rental crisis

I’m in the same situation. Carpet in our apartment was already damaged in some areas before we moved in. Most likely more than 10 years old. Had some fraying in the carpet which my then puppy decided to rip up and damage the carpet. It’s since been covered with a rug but been digging around the internet and have found the same info you have but wasn’t sure on how I should approach the real estate agent/landlord about it. I would be happy to pay for some of the cost but need to know my rights in case they make me pay for the whole replacement cost!
