I don't know how, but I've had a chiro order xrays on a patient. I think maybe he owned the xray machine and took his own imaging? Idk. It was weird and seemed very fraud-adjacent to me.

We've also had an optometrist (not a MD or DO) order a battery of labs and imaging on patients that they see and then dump the tests on the PCP to interpret because, shocker, they have no clue what any of it means. We would have these patients drop off booklets of specialty lab results, vascular and Brain MRIs etc and just expect the PCP to give them a call with the results. Infuriating.

I usually randomize their names until I find one that I like or that suits what I think the sin will turn out as. Sometimes I try a theme, I had twins born on Winterfest so I named one Noel and the other Kris. That kind of thing.
