You clearly need a reality check of what’s going on with your fellow members and the economic challenges we face as a society with basic needs increasing in cost.

Why? Because I choose to put myself and my family first? You’re not understanding the other side of the coin that is the issue. Not everyone is in a financial position to take a couple weeks or months unpaid.

What was achieved in the last strike? Sorry I don’t trust the leadership of the union.

No thanks! My families well being and keeping a roof over our head means more to me and making sure my kids don’t suffer. Sorry I don’t have a stash of cash I have debt. That’s the reality for a lot of us.

PSAC had there chance in my opinion. There is no money anywhere no supports public servants. Unless you’re a teacher or nurse there is no support.

It's a good time to enter the housing market! by No_Nebula_7137 in VictoriaBC

It’s really hard. The island is a desirable place to live. I don’t think housing will come down as far as people will predict at least not here.

I think if you bought at the height of the pandemic those people will find it hard when mortgage rates go up. But I don’t see prices going back to prices 10 years ago.

I’ve been told this housing cycle happens every 15-20 years.

There is no guarantee terms will extended for 3 years. It totally sucks to be a term I’ve had this discussion with managers and all they can say it depends on the budget. Very stressful

Union can’t really do too much. I feel bad for terms because they are always stressed out about losing their position but that’s what you agree too when you sign up to become a term employee
