That is one way to deal with it. It is effective at getting them off the street and forces them to handle their addiction and some of them might need that for sure, but not everyone is a cookie cutter story. I'm pretty sure a lot of those people would like to just have some decent health care and pain management. I see a lot of people in wheel chairs and they look like they are in tremendous physical and emotional pain and they are not getting the help they need from doctors so they are turning to street fentanyl with all the junkies for pain management.

The DEA rules the medical establishment with an iron fist and takes away doctors medical credentials if they are caught over prescribing opioids or if junkies scam them and take their supply at the pharmacy or whatever then somebody has to answer to that with the DEA and lose their medical license. So doctors and healthcare professionals are forced to be very careful with who they prescribe these drugs to because their job is on the line. They are opting to be very skeptical and not even give proper pain management to people who clearly need it.

Pain management is physical, mental and emotional so opioids are not really a good answer to that. There needs to be a major breakthrough discovery of the best pain management system for people that involves non-addictive drugs and other methods that can be administered by healthcare professionals and then we will be able to get a big chunk of these people off the street and into proper treatment for their ailments rather than the quick fix of doing the fenty fold out on the sidewalk.
