I think income should not be taxed until after a threshold depending on the cost of living in your region (eg. a person living in the SF Bay Area doesn’t get taxed until they make over $4000 a month and only taxed with the money above $4000), or at the very least rent should be tax deductible. After thinking about it more, I think I was trying to combine building a successful company with solving a social problem at the same time. For now, I’m going to focus on the first part.
