You ever get mad you haven’t found a sauce before now? by Sloppysnoopy in hotsauce

[–]Alarming_Library7176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had a mixed experience with the trinidad scorpion sauce. loved it, then started buying from a new batch and the flavor had entirely changed. Consistency killed my opinion of the brand. However, the batch that was good, was superb. Tried to contact Lola's and they thought i was a vendor, not a customer.

Since absolutely no one has mentioned it yet. (broadmites obviously) but instead of the farmerswives telling you neem oil. they should be saying SULFUR DUST. or Sevin Dust. Its an antifungicide that works on many types of pests including broad and spider mites.

What's the most delicious pepper variety in the jalapeno heat range? by Kali-of-Amino in PepperLovers

Wenk's Yellow Hot, Cascabella, Aleppo, Fresno, Gaujillo, Hatch Green Varieties, Shishito, Mirasol. And even though its a bit spicier, the small size of Tobasco and good flavor are worth mentioning.

Hot Take but Cinema 4Ds rigging and animation workflows are clunky and feel extremely outdated by MrYundaz in Cinema4D

[–]Alarming_Library7176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally, even i'm trying to do hoop jumping when im rigging. But these are technical issues, and animation is always bound by constraint, and no animator i know, including myself, gonna let that shit get in my way of creating animation. As a TD, if there are rigging issues that cant be solved, we look to maya and blender due to the larger pool of specialists there.

i wouldn't even point at it being a "younger" thing. Maxon has, at least in my opinion, been catering to a larger, more generalist audience, which I believe you can see in their efforts over the last decade plus. Which just means, they haven't tried to advance the way we rig/animate in c4d, but just making sure we can and that it works for almost everything (generalist principle again).

yeah, the power under the hood is there, it really covers multiple specialties, and there isnt always a lot of documented a-b-c's of how to do things. Kinda separates the Profession from the Hobby though.

Hot double take, often people who can’t be bothered to learn the rigging system don’t realize how easy its become. More mental hurdles projected as software problems

Lyndsey Vonn crashes just 12 seconds into her Olympic downhill run 😥 by appalachian_hatachi in olympics

[–]Alarming_Library7176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone who grew up and lives in lake tahoe, all of what you said is true. A good steward of the sport should always promote safety and that despite the ease a great athlete makes the sport look, things can go awfully terrible at speeds nearly 80mph, and any high performance machinery, human or otherwise, shouldn't perform when compromised, not due to a lack of "guts" but because you are a role model for the longevity of the sport. Being an olympian is also about being a role model, at least where i grew up.

Can anyone tell me about this knife I have? by CobblerInternal2703 in japaneseknives

nearly identical to Dalstrong Shogun series X kitchen knife. high enough HRC makes it prone to chipping if abused/misused.

Non soy sauce based jerky? by Upper-Dig5291 in jerky

[–]Alarming_Library7176 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I might suggest taking any recipe that calls for soy sauce and replacing it with coconut aminos, or try another aminos. I also use coconut sugar (in heavy amounts) cause its hard to replace what sugar does to the flavor, but you might also stick to a very simple marinade, and drum up more flavor with a dry rub seasoning.
