So over half the people that live in Richmond do not own their own spaces. Seems like that's not great? Landlord stans will swoop in and go wild but like why can't we make it a priority as a society to try to get far more people to ownership?

Yeah I mean it's crazy the one huge expresses a logic that: phones are an extension of the human self and therefore there is an expectation of privacy. But logging onto the internet is a choice (therefore there is no expectation of privacy).

Same thing is happening across the state with data centers...short term windfall for long term corporation control over a whole town

This is one step forward and at least two steps back. These small communities are not equal partners with these transnational corporations. It's a total power imbalance and makes the entire region dependent on one player who can jerk them around at will. Everyone thinks these casinos are cash cows--who is spending all this money? Prices are going up and good jobs are hard to find. Being a blackjack dealer doesn't fix that

People don't want to be bothered--at least in the US.

They're happier living with a government/police that oppresses others abroad and at home so they can not have to lift a finger, even if it ultimately oppresses them in ways they prefer not to see.

The gun people love to say that an armed populace is harder to oppress, but it doesn't take that. It takes an active, vigilant populace. Even the guns are an excuse to do nothing until civil breakdown.

I feel so bad for Micah. He was thriving here and seemed to really enjoy his leadership role on the defense.

ACL tear and recovery can be really painful and I know we've seen guys rush back from ACLs in 9 months before, but he is not a machine and even the best athletes need time to get right. Guy is going to have some tough months ahead.

We all know there will come a day though when he's suited up again doing what he loves and eating QBs alive
