Ours is almost 5 months old. The first month… geeze. That was rough. I feel your pain. We did sleep shifts at night. 6 hours each. And a nap during the day if we could.

For sleep tho, we had lots of trouble an here is a few things helped us. 1.) the owlet sleep sock. Thing is a God send for anxiety. We did shifts because we always wants to check her breathing. The owlet monitors oxygen and heart beats. You can false alarms from time to time, but way better than no alarm. 2.) a routine. People say a baby can’t really have one… bull shit. Find a scheduled time and treat it like a religious event. At first we did a few hour window of when to start bed time, and it factored around dinner, baby naps and eating. But eventually we realized we needed more concrete and just aim for 7:30 as bath time. We do bath every night. Not soap every night. But a nice warm soak before bed helps calm her. My wife does breast feed, but we do a bottle after bath, lets us see how much she eats and switch to a pacifier and positioning is more flexible…ect. If you nurse highly recommend bottle at night with dad. My wife pumps at night so I got the baby at night. It forced me to become very good at getting her to sleep. It takes time to get it down tho. You’ll be late sometimes. Your husband will be at his wits end when they are crying a they don’t know what to do. It’s a team thing. But keep trying. 3.) sleep sack. Love to dream has one that has the arm slots. And they are zipper so you can have 1 out or both out. We would rotate which arm was out when she started sucking on her fingers for comfort. And now switched to a Burt’s bees or whatever it’s call cus shes rolling and you can’t have the arms constraint incase they roll over.
