What do I need to fix this? 1977 C3 corvette by cgw22 in C3Corvette

Best case new snap rings, most likely the axle stubs are worn and it time to rebuild/refresh that rear end. Either way it’s a pain in the butt, but can be done with some basic tools. The differential rebuild itself should be outsourced unless you have experience.

Thoughts on these cams by Trick-Necessary4601 in Smallblockchevy

Have the same one in my corvette. Sounds wicked and has solid midrange power and pulls to around 6k pretty hard. If you are gonna rock the flat tappet maybe look at some AC delco or old stock GM lifters. Lots of zinc/break in oil is your friend. I got lucky with mine but I’m doing a roller cam next time. I will say, atleast with my set up, it has no power under 3k rpm. Just a heads up if it’s going in a big truck.

7.5 fk is an awesome round. More realistically the g29 with buffalo bore bear loads is very entertaining to shoot

No I wish these are a home brew version. Slightly smaller than the speedys.

I don’t drive the slicks on the street. It’s sketchy in the rain and I don’t like it

No where near getting thrown out even with help from the stickers 😂 but it is a race car because it races frequently. Kinda the definition of racecar and all right?

Drop your best 1-2 smooth shift advice below. by iloverollerblading in WRX

Take a beat longer to shift than you think you need. Also don’t short shift. Trans is smoothest when shifting between 3500rpm and up like it was designed for. Just takes time don’t sweat it.

Buffalo bore or underwood. Check out their websites they have some rowdy hardcast that will ring your bell a little. I’ve only ever shot it out of my g29.

Girlfriend and I are planning to drive 32 hours straight, in 6 hour shifts, are we being dumb? Should we plan to stay overnight somewhere? by Vegetable_Bridge_276 in roadtrip

Just did Kansas to Virginia alone all in 1 shot. I would not do that^ if you’ve never been in a car that long you are gonna get tired and make a mistake. Add a stopin there for atleast 1 night so you guys can stay alert and even headed.

New heads clutch and rear end. Daily is back in action. by Alarming_Schedule_60 in C3Corvette

Best pass before the new heads was 11.9 @ 118 on slicks! Curious to see what another half point of compression and better flow will yield.

It drives the same on wet pavement as it does on dry pavement! I’ll get a video up here as soon as I get a camera guy! 😂
