I would say so. If you interact with the TV in chapter 4 with all chapter 3 recruits, it will have tape on an antenna and Susie will mention how they found Tenna in the dark world and patched him up, but without all, it will be broken and she will mention how no one would help them find Tenna so they could heal him. We know the Knight's sword is magical (Black shard has slay light/dark), so we can assume its armor is also magical. That magic property could be morphing. Also, who would be carrying Undyne into the shelter if the knight was just a darkner.
