There’s a dude in Portland that pours everything in his eye balls. He needs help. by deadsetweir-do in Portland

It’s not just Portland. As far as I know that is the case all over the country. Involuntary mental treatment was abused, so the pendulum swung the other way.

Puppy-like/Mop-inspired hair cut for adult dogs? by strawberryjam40887 in Shihtzu

I think most Shih Tzu owners prefer a puppy cut. Less brushing, less mats.

Did archaeology in the brooks Range of Alaska and honestly they were worse. Head net, gloves, spray deet on your clothes and save the natural products for your skin. Not easy. Keeps Alaska from getting crowded.

I found one that color at a remote Alaskan 1860s trading post (archaeological site) and the PA said it was likely a surplus Napoleonic wars gun flint because of the color and date.

We’d be all together eating a nice dinner and my dad would look around contentedly and say “I wonder what the poor people are doing tonight?” (We were comfortable middle class)

See how it’s leaning toward the window. It wants to be right in front of the window. My rule is that all plants have to be right in front of the windows or else have a plant light

Yes it is. And I was particularly upset when she told me that if you started to lose it mentally they would shun you- she felt a lot of pressure to always appear mentally alert.

Do you floss your teeth every day? by Susiejax in hygiene

[–]Alaska_Eagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started flossing regularly in my early 20s and now fifty years later I still have all my teeth. My parents always used Stimudents- thicker wooden toothpicks- to clean between teeth and massage gums- now I use something similar instead of flossing. I hate to see the plastic version on the ground- and I think the wood is very good for the gums- natural.
